Location was perfect! Everything was within a block or two!!! I love that Costentino's grocery store was right around the corner and so was the street car. I would have liked if the staff had given us information about special things inside of the hotel. I was told in the elevator that there was yoga, but it would have been cool to know more information from the front desk.

Delicious breakfast at the rooftop. Clean room.

Very old and well maintained downtown. Would definitely stay here again. The desk clerk, concierge, and coffee bar staff was amazing. The front outside bellmen could use some training on greeting but didn’t need them so it wasn’t a big deal. Beds are super comfy and room was amazing.

The room was very humid and the AC added moisture to the point our sheets were damp.

I will definitely consider this hotel when visiting the Kansas City area again. I parked in a nearby parking garage instead of using the valet as there were storms that were going to arrive with potential hail that night and I would rather have my vehicle covered than not in their open parking lot. Check in was easy and my room overall was very clean and nice. The speakeasy in the basement was amazing, they were playing jazz that night which I love. It seems to draw people that aren't even staying in the hotel which lets you know that it's quality. Too small issues I did have was the water pressure in the shower left more to be desired and the rooftop was not open for brunch outside of specific days (not Sundays). Personally I would want to showcase a rooftop option with amazing views for food and hanging out.

The room is quite small in the king size bed

Valet parking as soon as you pull up was convenient and easy and they were all very friendly. The building was beautiful, breakfast (room service) was great! The bartender was great and there were good selections/options available. Having the little coffee bar downstairs was super nice so we didn't have to try to rush to a cafe early for a great coffee. Rooms themselves were clean and well decorated (our room could've used an updated rug as ours had seen a great amount of ware and tear but the in room amenities were good and the water pressure and temperature were great. If you sleep with a lot of pillows you'll definitely need to ask for extras or bring your own as theirs were not good but the bed was comfortable. We were a bit disappointed that the main restaurant was closed during our stay but overall the staff was friendly, attentive, and informative, the location was great - walkable to so many things - and the amenities checked our boxes as well. Will be staying again!
-
Unique older building that shows it years, yet that is the point of an old building. Room was eclectic and very comfortable. Location was right among the downtown hubbub. Very walk-able.
-
One of the most beautiful hotels in KC. Cool bars and fantastic atmosphere. Walkable to many events and attractions.
