Great stay, had everything we needed for the world cup game !

We checked in around 6:00 pm went to room unpacked and went to leave and the door did not lock. Attempted to contact the front desk but the phone wasn’t working something about internet down but we had wifi? Went down to front desk she asked if we wanted to change rooms so we packed up and moved to another room that was not as “nice” as the first one. I use that word loosely. Fridge was in the bathroom, dirty shorts in the closet air conditioner leaked all night. Approached front desk and asked about air conditioner and they said maintenance wasn’t available so do we want to switch rooms?? This is twice now. I would find another place to stay if you are looking. We stayed two nights and had to move three times.

Room was clean, staff friendly, parking convenient, quiet

We had a really good time. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and they had a good breakfast for in the morning as well. Would recommend to anyone coming to Kansas City!

Room was clean and spacious, well thought out design. (Some friends on the same trip had a different experience - loud AC unit duct taped to a window.) Bed was comfortable, bathroom had plenty of warm water, kitchen amenities were great. Breakfast was good with many options. Staff was helpful and friendly. Cost seemed high, but could have been partly due to FIFA events (this was not why we were in town).

Great location. Close and easy walk to The Plaza. Fresh and well stocked breakfast. When they ran out of food items the staff replaced with fresh items quickly. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, there were some serious downsides to the actual room. First of all, we had the misfortune of booking during the World Cup. As a result, our single room suite was over $700 per night. Ouch! Our room was not in the main building of the hotel but in an annex on the ground level. The room came equipped with a full kitchen. Unfortunately, the room was probably last updated in 1984. The carpet was old and looked miserable. The bathroom and sink were terribly outdated. The place looked like a low-rent apartment, not a $700-per-night suite. It literally had a low-quality motel feel. I have to be honest. I'm a platinum-level Marriott customer. I've stayed at all Marriott brands. In my 40 years of travel, this is by far the worst Marriott-branded hotel I have stayed in. I have never rated rooms for Hotel.com or any other outlet. However, the disappointment with this stay was so great, I felt compelled to write about it. Perhaps the rooms in the main building are better. Unfortunately, none were available despite our early arrival. As such, the main building rooms may be better.

Location was great. Hotel parking wasn’t free but was reasonable and right outside our door. It didn’t seem up to Marriott standards. Sofa bed was just a piece of foam. Smallest bathroom I’ve ever seen. Broken toilet handle. Broken vanity light. After housekeeping came they left four of us with half a roll of toilet paper. All this for over $500/night

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Everything was really good but the only issue was the toilet…was making noice and running some water every 45/60 min and at night was too noisy and bothered us a little. Rather than that, all was perfect

The staff was really helpful and nice and the breakfast each morning pretty good. Room was clean, but had a nasty stench to it as if it used to be a smoking room at one time. I’d recommend staying here as it is close to good restaurants and shopping.

The hotel room was clean but the property needs to be updated. There is paint peeling and wallpaper coming off, rust stains in the tub and the shower rod was barely hanging on. The air did not work. They did have free breakfast with a nice variety. The staff was friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast exceeded expectations. The staff was friendly. The parking was easy and convenient. And the location was ideal for walking to nearby restaurants and shopping. Would definitely recommend.

It was mostly fine. The only thing I can say is they need new pillows they felt depleted. Breakfast is great and service is great.

  • Engine customer May 2026

Great location, very helpful staff and a quality breakfast buffet.

  • Engine customer May 2026

No toilet paper, no maid service, elevator not working, forgot to mention parking charge. The room was spacious and comfortable. Good location. Bathroom needs update.

    Nice breakfast options.
