InterContinental Kansas City at The Plaza by IHG

There's been quite the shift since apparently the bank took over ownership of the hotel… You can just tell that it's not as high scale is it once was. The bar and restaurant just aren't the same. There wasn't room service at all. No one came to clean, not even once. The entertainment at night wasn't the same. They don't have the room service and stuff that they used to it just has gone downhill a little bit and I really love the location so I hope that it gets some life freeze back into it.

Front desk staff were super helpful even when busy. The amenities are excellent. No complaints.

The staff, specifically Roxanne at the front desk, was incredibly hostile. She made our large group feel unwelcome with her aggressive stares and, most appallingly, directed racist comments toward members of our party wearing hijabs. When we complained, management was dismissive, offering a one-night credit as a transparent attempt to silence us rather than addressing the serious health hazards or the discrimination. This place is unsanitary, unsafe, and deeply offensive. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Roxanne needs to be fired, and the management needs to be held accountable. Do not be fooled by their "catfish" pictures.

Great location. Quiet atmosphere in the middle of the city. Very close to the Street car. We will return!

We had a two night staycation in KC. I had forgotten how wonderful this property is. Can’t beat the location and the property is beautiful.

Pool not staffed so we were sort of on our own. For as nice as the hotel is the pool is sort of run down. All was wonderful but our room didn’t get cleaned on of our days so we had a pile of towels that built up. But otherwise lovely hotel and staff.

My wife had a surgery done in KC. The staff was great would stay again!

Room was very clean and comfortable. Had trouble with keys and parking. The simple act of getting a morning cup of coffee was a little tedious with the restaurant set up. They need a coffee bar in the lobby.

This hotel needs a refurbishment. Great location but for the price I think it needs an upgrade. That will increase the price a bit more but I would rather pay extra than accept a tired hotel just for the location. But that just me!!!

It was a small room but very well appointed. Everything was top quality. Enjoyed our stay.

From the greetimg to the farewell everything was nice and professional.

Clean room (a bit shabby—worn furniture) and AC was not working properly on arrival and door knob/handle was broken off the door in bathroom. Once reported fixed in a timely manner but was a hot night in the room due to poor AC.
