Kauai Coast at the Beachboy

The room was very comfortable and spacious with in room laundry. The property was well kept had a nice pool area with pool side bar and the beach was just steps away.

Great beach hotel. Easy to get to and from. Great restaurant.

Room was perfect for family of 4. Had full kitchen which saved on food costs of eating out and provided onsite bbqs which were used regularly by lot of guests very convenient. All hotel amenities were so nice and the location of property right next to Coconut Marketplace is a huge bonus! Hope we can return some day!

Disappointing

Amazing clean spacious unit with big bathroom and in room laundry! Loved the view of ocean and pool, which was never loud, only the roosters were loud. We would stay here again!

Wasn’t aware would be a mini apartment! Stove, dishes, blender and fridge made life so much easier. Pool and hot tub were clean and great views of sunrise and mountains.

The one thing I did not like was the push to go their sale update to sell their shares. Even after telling them no serval time and that we had in interest. Makes me not wanting to go back for making me upset and frustrated on my first day of vacation

This resort is pretty low key, family friendly. There is a small pool, kiddie pool, and one hot tub. The rooms are modest but clean, there is no housekeeping provided unless you request amenities like towels, soap, trash service. Parking is free and very convenient. The hotel is centrally located on the island and has a convenience store and shopping/restaurants across the street. This is kind of a low touch, self-serve resort more like renting an apartment.

We stayed at this location before moving to Poipu for a "fancier" hotel and wish we had stayed a little longer. Loved the location as it was less resort-y and touristy than Poipu with nearly empty beaches. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the condo considering the price and although more dated, it wasn't too far off from the much more expensive condo we booked in Poipu for later in the week. The only reason it's not a 10 was because of a constant AC vent leak that puddled in the bathroom and the size of the pool compared to other resorts but all in all was a nearly perfect stay. Fix the AC leak but to be fair I never reported it. Can't think of anything else to complain about.

The property, the rooms, the facility, the beach are fantastic! The price I got the week for was very reasonable. Be aware that there isn't much as far as restaurants or food options unless you have a rental car. Hotel restaurant is only open from 5-9 6 days a week. Sundays are pretty much shutdown unless you drive to fast food options. Overall it was a wonderful vacation!!!

Beautiful place to stay. Nice pool. Nice location. Good value Woken up around 4am every night from the roosters that obviously live on the grounds. Cleaning crew needs to look over rooms better.

All in all this is a great place to stay! Very central to both the north and south shore, tons of good restaurants nearby, nice pool, pool bar, and beautiful grounds. The condos themselves are a little old and run down, and the living room furniture was extremely uncomfortable to sit on. The bed was relatively comfortable which helped. The timeshare representative at check in was pushy and extremely rude when I told her we weren’t interested. All in all the good out weighed the bad!

The location is great and the staff are friendly. The room was clean and spacious.

This property has no elevator for wheelchair and handicap people. No grab bars in bathtub. Lanai screen door does not lock properly ( need to be replace ). Sliding door toilet/bathtub bathroom not sturdy. But, overall rating 4 stars. The entire property is quite, maintained well, laid back for families. Yes, we would be back at this Kauai Beachboy Resort again.

Beautiful grounds This was a “time share pitch” we had no idea and this was never disclosed when we booked the trip , it was after we checked in that the front desk said ; ok, go over there and meet our “concierge “ she will tell you about the good beaches , we figured this is something like every other place. We have visited in Hawaii that the concierge will help us find places to see specially when it’s our first time in Kauai boy was I wrong, It was a hard sell and pitch to sign us up for a presentation for timeshare. I had no intention of wasting 90 minutes of my vacation time listening to a timeshare pitch and told her that if they are pushy, I’m going to walk away she said they will not be pushy and we will give you one week of free stay at one of our resorts so we went ahead and went there the next day, especially because they charged us $40 to show up and they said they will refund it once we attend the presentation once we started with the first person I kept telling him that I have no intention of buying anything, but he kept asking me questions so I finally said I’m not going to participate anymore so he left and another person came who was the rudest of all people and started to insult me. Why would you do this if you weren’t planning on participating in our presentation and you need to give me my gift back?? this was so antiquated and disgusting. I got up and said I have to leave and he said you cannot leave. Oh my God are you kidding me? I asked him are you going to handcuff me? He said no but you’re not getting any gifts from me I was disgusted. He really ruined my morning but luckily within waste more than half hour and left one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in my life.
