Aston Islander on the Beach

The location, the price, and the room were clean. The room may need some updates, but it serves its purpose. Not much facilities and they ran out of pool towels and cooler to use for the day. The size of the pool is small and lacks much space if the hotel is in full capacity.

The surroundings reminded us of old Hawaii. The staff was very warm and friendly. It made us feel at home. It reminded us of the Hawaii we grew up in.

The hotel was decent. Expedia lies. Booked two doubles and got a king and sofa bed. Hotel doesn’t guarantee beds. Room was fine. Needs some updating. Beach is not swimmable, but beautiful grounds and walk to beach. The rooster in the hotel garden woke me up LOL. Front desk was friendly. Amenities fees: not really any amenities.

Excellent location: On the beach and next to Coconut marketplace. Love the board walk!

Noting other than location The property didnt provide house keeping and cleaning services for 4 days. The room got really messy and with no trash bags provided the room became like a trash bin. Its not worth the money. The staff didnt clean the room even we requested it.

Right on the beach, beautiful plantation building. Room was clean and cosy, bed was comfy. Pool/Bar area was great. Staff were fantastic. Cocktails could use an update.

The staff here are incredibly warm, friendly, professional, and efficient! Though the hotel itself is a bit dated, the location and views are absolutely spectacular. And the property's quaintness is nostalgic and charming :) My fiancé and I stayed here and witnessed multiple incredible sunrises + sunsets, enjoyed the pool and ocean views, and were especially grateful for a generous room upgrade when the room we initially booked wasn't ready for us. It's also in an extremely convenient and walkable location! Highly recommend.

To make matters worse, I had to carry the bed linen for the sofa bed myself from reception to the room and prepare the sofa bed on my own. I also spent a considerable amount of time waiting at reception because I could not get clear or accurate information about the situation. Overall, I did not receive the accommodation I booked and paid for, and I wasted a significant amount of time trying to resolve the issue. I also submitted a complaint to Expedia. Initially, I was connected with AI support, followed by another customer service representative who was unable to resolve the issue and explained that they were only qualifying the case. I was then required either to call or wait for a call from another team specialising in this type of issue. At that stage, Expedia was only able to offer phone support. The representative who eventually called me was also unable to resolve my complaint. I am very disappointed with Expedia’s customer support and with the way this accommodation was advertised. In my experience, the room offered by the hotel did not match what was presented and sold through Expedia. I expected Expedia to take more respon

I was really pleasantly surprised by this hotel. My room was very clean and I was happy to be closer to the parking lot vs closer to the Ocean. The location can't be beat with shops, dining, coffee, just steps away. There are lots of barbecues which is nice for a beach barbecue night. Special thanks to Tiffany for bringing my ID to my room when I left it at the front desk. Such nice service with Aloha. Thank you Islander.

Also saw a couple of small roaches in the room. I love the location and that it’s on the beach. Hard to find good workers.

Good place

Quiet, peaceful, low key lovely property next to the ocean. Beautiful landscaping, not hyper or crowded atmosphere. Places to eat located close by in walking distance or short drive. I LOVE this place and hope to come back.

It was exactly what I wanted. First views out the lobby to pool, ocean and tropical paradise. Loved it !!! This was the first half of my retirement trip and 15th anniversary trip. Loved the ocean waves, breezes while sitting on our 3rd floor lanai-what a life! It was the prettiest property along that portion of the beach. The Coconut Marketplace had nice food selections at the end of tiring days.pool very clean.
