WorldMark Kapaa Shore

We arrived really late, around 11pm, but were greeted at the reception and issued keys. Much appreciated! The condo has a full-size kitchen with all the basic equipment, dishes and utensils. The only thing we had to buy was an electric kettle (we are big tea-drinkers). We really prefer to prepare our own food, and this place was perfect for this (with Safeway and Walmart stores either walking or short driving distances). The weather could be better. It was "Kona weather" during our visit — lots of rain. But Kapaa Shore was not responsible for it. In fact, the infrastructure showed good resilience in such adverse conditions. Everything functioned.

The location Worst 5 nights. We did everything to avoid going home due to the roach infestation. When we told the front desk, they said it’s “normal” and “expected due to the beachfront location”. We spotted roaches everyday in every room, but mostly in the living room/kitchen. I would not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else. No one deserves to pay to stay with roaches

Good location on the island. Close to the ocean, very scenic. Good pool and hot tub. Close to shopping and food services.Plenty of towels. The coins for a one time laundry visit were nice. Friendly staff. A reclining couch and/or chairs would be nice. The toilet had a leak that I reported to the office. The noise disturbed our sleep for a couple of nights, but then right away the maintenance man came and fixed the problem. The noise from the roof repair was annoying -- however we were advised that construction was scheduled to happen. So it was expected and not too bad as we were mostly out exploring during the day.

The only positive aspect of our stay was the receptionist – once she finally arrived, she was kind and welcoming. We arrived during official check-in hours, but the reception was closed. Customer service told us the staff had gone on a one-hour break, with no way to contact them – even though this was during peak check-in time. We had to wait outside for over an hour. • The apartment we received was not the one we booked and wasn’t even in the same building that was advertised. • Wi-Fi was not included as promised and required an extra $90 payment. On top of that, the reception inside the room was very poor because of the old building structure. • The kitchen had a strong unpleasant odor, the shower curtains were torn, and ceiling fans barely worked. • Cleanliness was very poor: ants in the room, cobwebs, and lack of proper maintenance. • The general atmosphere of the property felt unsafe and low quality – one guest was visibly intoxicated, and our car was damaged two mornings in a row in the parking lot.

Good location, beautiful ocean view, free parking, shops nearby. The biggest disappointment was the cockroaches. They are everywhere. We asked to be moved to another building, but the lady at the front desk said they were everywhere. They just sprayed our room with cockroach repellent. Usually, after such a procedure, people should not stay indoors for 24 hours, but we had no choice. In general, the hotel is old, but everything is well maintained and there is a lot of space in the room. Also the price is good.

No AC was very hot had to leave the doors open in other to get any air and at night was hot and miserable

Everything was very well taken care of and the property was great. Pool is lovely, unfortunately the hot tub was closed for maintenance during our stay. It was a bit dated for the price point in my opinion.

Location Outdated, not suitable for elder people or people with disabilities. I wish i would of done better research and know they only offer the 2 bed on the 3rd floor.

The staff at Kauai Shore were all very friendly and helpful. Lacy went above and beyond to help us. She is a treasure to have working for them. The condo was spacious and clean. We had tremendous ocean view. The location is very convenient to get to nearby restaurants and shopping as well as being halfway between Hanalei and Poipu. The property itself could use some TLC. Unfortunately, the hot tub was under repair during our stay, but the pool was available.

Location was comfortable, it was ocean front, the pool was nice as well. The property is extremely run down, especially the rooms, you can get past that but this next part we couldn’t. Understanding that it’s the island life, it was extremely unacceptable to have cockroaches roaming the apartment. We asked for the room to be treated in the middle of our stay (which I don’t think ever happened) and later that evening we found cockroaches in the fridge. That is where we drew the line, it was hard to get over that as our groceries for the week felt spoiled. Management is aware of cockroaches, we got brushed off and almost made feel like this is what you paid for. Well if that’s what you’re looking for at this price point then that’s what you will get. I will never stay here, nor recommend the place to anyone else. It’s a shame that there hasn’t been any investment made in the apartments.

location was excellent. we were at the point we could get to the airport in just a few minutes or go in any direction to visit all the wonderful things Kauai has to offer. The only thing I had a problem with was the kitchen sink was stopped up and the smell was atrocious!! I reported it early Saturday morning and they did not get it fixed until sometime Sunday afternoon. We know things happen like this because it is an apartment but I felt they should have fixed it in a timely manner, not 2 days.

Location is good. Return trip. Disappointed no insuite laundry this time and over run with ants. We had to seal everything and ended up tossing food. Reports of roaches on bottom units. Small upper bed (not a queen)

The front desk attendant was very friendly. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with necessary utensils for cooking. The view and sound of the ocean was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed the patio and watched the sun rise every morning. Ample towels! The coffee was terrible. But there's several great coffee shops nearby. There are no check out instructions. And the office hours provided by booking.com are not correct.

It was close to the shore and some restaurants On Booking.com it said there was a designated area for smoking and there wasn’t. Also there were supposed to be beaches in walking distance but were not swim able. At night you had to close and lock doors so there was not a breeze coming through. It was hot at night. No toaster
