The Inn at English Meadows

This place was soooo cute! The owner Diane was very helpful and attentive. She seems to have thought of everything, from the wine dispenser, snacks, breakfast, bikes, beach chairs… this place was perfect. Perfect location, breakfast really makes the value even better and all the little touches! Highly recommend!

Great location and enjoyable stay - only wished they had cappuccino / lattes instead of plain coffee

Overall nice stop for a quick night and close to the Dow town.

We stayed in the Carriage House Suite which was lovely and very spacious. The owner “Diana” is wonderful! She is so friendly and welcoming! I highly recommend staying at The English Meadows if you’re planning to visit the area. Not a thing

This is a lovely Bed and Breakfast. Diane and her staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had a good experience. The breakfast was exceptional! It was a culinary experience! It was very fresh with interesting combinations made with care. The location was perfect. You could walk to the port with restaurants and shops but the house was on a beautifully landscaped and quiet location. We enjoyed the wine bar! What a great idea! The common areas were lovely and comfortable both outside and inside. We had a smaller room with a double bed. I would opt for a bigger room if we return. We wish we would have had a bigger room.

Lovely, meticulous decor and clean everywhere! Wonderful breakfast and chef as well as the onsite manager! Location wonderful/convenient, easy check in/out Nothing we didn’t like! It was real nice to pick off season with very few guests around. Minor suggestion…. Room 5 in Carriage house, could use a 2nd trash can in the bedroom and a small bench/chair/stool in the bathroom to put lotion on your legs! ?

We stayed here during Prelude time and had the pleasure of being served by Carmen and her wonderful team. Our room was meticulously clean, and the Inn offered such a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. The service was exceptional—from breakfast to the thoughtfully provided wine and snack options. We are very much looking forward to our next stay!

Tucked away but walking distance about 15 minutes to town. We loved the hot breakfast and the beautifully appointed large room. We enjoyed the access to beverages and snacks during our stay. There was nothing we would change.

It was a wonderful stay! The property was peaceful and quiet - perfect for relaxing and getting a good night's sleep. Room was clean, cozy and comfortable. Our hosts were so kind!

I stayed in the charming Sunrise room at the front of the inn, which had lovely windows and was great for watching activities on the road. But the room does get hot on sunny afternoons. Thankfully, the inn is aware of this and stored a small fan in the closet, which helped to cool the room enough to be bearable until sunset. I adored the heated bathroom floors on cool mornings! Breakfast was a delicious and varied two-course affair every morning, accommodating dietary preferences (in my case, no meat). It was served quickly and efficiently by Carmen and her friendly and competent staff, as soon as they see guests seated.

Very close to town center. Large bathroom! Two sitting areas. Owner on site first thing in the morning. Parking right next to the inn. Highly recommend.
