The lobby area was nice. The rooms are very dated and smelled musty. The AC worked sometimes and other times didn't. Remodeling bathrooms is much needed. We had no maid service and wete there for 3 days in the Texas Jy heat. The hot tub is not working.

What we would suggest is cutting back the hedges to some of the entrances so that you can see where you’re going. Our shower curtain should have been at least 6” longer to keep the water inside the tub. Another suggestion? Mount Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Gel dispensers in the tub/shower. Gone are the days of “mini-shampoo bottles”. With a little bit of TLC, money and imagination this could definitely be a “go to” spot for lots of families as well as businesses. Still a nice place to stay for the money! Thanks!

and she was in a different building. The bathroom was ancient, my blow dryer made the lights blink and the bath tubs were painted over where the paint was off. I would not recommend.

The situation became even more stressful when we realized the bugs had gotten into our children’s luggage. We had to throw away a lot of their clothing, including all of their undergarments and several days’ worth of outfits, to avoid bringing the infestation home. We left the hotel around midnight and spent around $50 at a laundromat washing and drying everything on high heat. We then spent hours trying to find another hotel, but everything in the area, even as far as San Antonio, was booked. My husband and I ended up sitting in our car with our three young children in the rain until around 4:00 a.m., when we finally gave up and drove the 3 hours home through flash flood warnings because we had nowhere else to stay. The most disappointing part was feeling that our concerns were dismissed, the person on duty denied the bed bugs even with photo evidence. The pool was also filthy and the room smelled of mildew. This experience turned what was supposed to be a family getaway into an incredibly stressful ordeal. I hope the property takes the necessary steps to thoroughly inspect and address the issue so no other family has to experience what we did.

Staff responce was excellent, however we discovered Ants in the room, there were no Vending Machines in our Building, and the eating establishment /bar was'nt open until Thursday ( we arrived on a Monday ), due to a Staff Stortage ( when asked, answered no bar tender available ). Over all we had a pleasant stay.

Rooms were very clean, soft, very comfortable beds. One minor issue with tub spout falling off when shower started. Would definitely reserve again.

The photos online do not depict the actual condition of the ranch. The place is very outdated and extremely dusty. My young child's allergies flared up as soon as we walked in so she was sick for the duration of the trip (watery eyes, running nose, sneezing, coughing, fever, lethargic). Thankfully there is a Walgreens down the street that we frequented several times during this short trip. The beds, the floors, the pool and other amenities, the lobby- it's not terrible, but not great either. And breakfast is not included. 😑 Had I known that there are newer, more updated hotels within walking distance, I probably would have booked there. (LaQuinta Inn, Hampton Inn or Quality Inn and they have breakfast included). To be fair, my family enjoyed the pool, and the ranch is within close proximity to everything you'll need in Kerrville.

Back 20/25 years ago this used to be the nicest hotel in town. Unfortunately the hotel is very outdated and limited renovations have been done. I understand keeping with the old western theme, but pretty much the entire hotel needs some updating.

Very underwhelmed -- I expected better from them.

The hotel was built in 1984. So, it looks like a 1984 high end luxury hotel. The room was huge even with a King bed. It has been modernized where there were USB ports for your phone. I slept so good in the comfy bed. A/C worked like a charm. Almost froze to death in the middle of the night. It was quiet. I didn’t hear another soul all night. It had a patio door you could use if desired. The receptionist was friendly and accommodating. We were originally booked on the second floor but the receptionist said she could give us a room on the first floor if we wanted. We took her up on the offer because of my bad knees. There is no elevator BTW. The floors in the room were tile. I prefer carpet but it was fine. Shower was powerful. It had a fridge and microwave, coffee pot and a desk. I have paid twice what I paid for this room at other “modern” hotels that were small and with no more to offer than this room. There is nothing I didn’t like. I had my doubts at first but those doubts quickly evaporated. The hotel is in a great location. There are restaurants, gas stations and a rental car place across the street. Highly recommend. Will definitely go back if need be in the future.

The room was dirty. I did not receive housekeeping services the entire stay. I was unsure why, as I had 4 nights in this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, just very dirty. The sheets and towels were the only thing clean the first nght only. The floors were so dirty I never took my shoes off. I got sick after staying here, a stomach bug.

No food offered on Monday and Tuesday. Restaurant closed. Lots of issues with the housekeeping getting rooms ready by 4:00pm for check in. Lots of people standing around waiting to check in so they could get dressed for dinner plans. Rooms are needing updates. New mattress, ac unit would not turn on and off. It would get cold then ZI would have to get up and turn it to fan several times. The temperature adjuster was broken (they glued it so you couldn't turn it). Hallways are dark (bulbs need to be brighter). It is an older hotel but they need to update and fix things so they work correctly.

Didn’t realize our room required walking up exterior stairs No elevators. Restaurant closed for renovations.

The property needs updating. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The bathroom and room were clean, but outdated. The hall was very dirty. No food service on Sunday evening Monday morning.
