Y O Ranch Hotel

Not much.

This property is usually used for big events but it was also great for one person. It was very quiet and close to where I was volunteering to feed people due to flooding in Kerrville. There wasn’t a place to eat that was open during the day, but restaurants were open all around. It would be a perfect place for a quiet retreat. Big rooms, very clean, excellent staff.

It is important to realize this is a historic hotel. As a result it is not the new and sparkling type of facility but it is clean and well maintained facility. If you enjoy history it is one that needs to be on the bucket list.

The TVs are extremely old and not a smart TV. Showers and bathrooms are all that you need to prepare and replacement. Overall, it was clean and quiet, but I would not stay here again

It’s such a great pool very large but they need to get a pool service to clean it.

Had reservations two months prior but due to the July 17th flood had to cancel. Rescheduled for 9/11-13. It's wonderful to see that they are up and running. Love the rustic charm of the hotel lobby. The people are very helpful. It's too hot! I'll have to go back in November!

Front desk was very kind and helpful. Great clean room with a balcony to sit on and look at the pool. Rough time trying to get there from our room (all the way around building and no directional signs) and the hot tub was all covered and gross- but that could be time of year 9/12? Bar was cute and staff was chill. Nice live music couple. The whole place was really quaint. Would definitely stay again!

A once uniquely awesome property is now in a sad state of disrepair, as witnessed Labor Day weekend. The front desk staff cared more about a litter of kittens that one of them brought from home, placed on the counter & started playing with than the 3 deep line of guests waiting to check in, one of whom is highly allergic to cats. Special requested by reservation & email for only synthetic pillows because we're allergic to feathers, but arrived in room to find 8 feather pillows on the bed. Asked nearby housekeeping to exchange for synthetic & they said they were only able to find 2 on property. Visited the decent pool, but hot tub was boarded up & looked to have been broken for some time. Moldy shower tile with all of the old sprayed on paint recoating peeling off all over the tub. Forget about taking a bath, even a shower felt gross. Damaged floor tile and doors everywhere. It could be great again with a remodel of all the floors, doors & baths/showers. Felt like we were ripped off and overpaid for a very run down room at a property with very poor service. Ran my credit card for a $49 incidental fee for our one night stay & didn't remove it until 5 days after checkout after calling twice.

The YO has a beautiful lobby and the staff was friendly. However, the pool was dirty and closed. I had called prior to booking and they stated it was open. The hotel is very dated with many repairs needed.

It was a really nice place to stay. Very comfy beds and super clean.

Everything was good. The only thing is they need to let everyone know about the extra 50 Dollars added at check in. You get it back two days after checking out. But if you are on a tight budget it matters
