Average place.

Everyone was very friendly. It was quiet and clean and the lobby is pretty amazing.

Great room floor plan
-
Ugh - front desk staff were unpleasant and mischarged us. Restaurants were inconsistent.
-
Room was very outdated. Needed a table to sit at in room. Hated the cold tile floors , limited plugs, probably won’t book any room in future.

The hallway to our room smelled like mold. And there was debris in the hallway that looks like dry wall not swept up. But the actual room was pretty clean. The beds were comfortable. The room itself kind of smelled like mold also but not as bad as the hallway.

Had a live music group in the bar/lounge. Felt comfortable and safe here. Breakfast buffet was good.

The property has alot of character and history but needs to be updated.

The place was nice and clean the only thing that I was bothered with was that there was a chair in the room and it had a lot of blood stains. Thought that disgusting. It could if been replaced or gotten rid if the chair.

The staff was incredibly helpful and professional! It's a little dated, but well taken care of and clean! We shall return!! Highly recommended!!

The pool and hot tub were closed when we got there, and we had planned to spend the day at the nice pool (per the pictures). The pool did NOT look like the photos. They advertised a restaurant, but when we got there on Saturday, it was closed. The hours were only 8-11. Not if you advertise a restaurant, have it be open, or POST the hours. The bar was nice, and Ranae, the bartender, was excellent!! The room was huge, but the sheets weren't as comfy as I'd hoped. The place was huge, but the unused buildings looked a little forlorn. We will not stay here again. I must admit, we spent quite a lot of money on this hotel- the most expensive on our way down south- and it was not worth it.

Room was spacious and the grounds are nice. The pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance, disappointing that we didn't know that in advance, since we booked there specifically for the hot tub. The live music on Friday night was great, the performer had a great sound. The bartenders need a little more training. Our room was clean and roomy. The bed was extremely soft, not super comfortable. Couldn't figure out how to get streaming services on the T.V. but they had a lot of channels. It's a nice historical hotel, but we paid too much considering the out of service amenities.

Clean room
-
Pool was closed; room was old and outdated; a/c made loud clinking noise; bed uncomfortable.
-
The lobby was amazing, very pretty, the saloon was nice and good music. Pool looked nice, the room - the ceramic tile floor was dirty, the shower curtain was too short for the tub and water went everywhere, and there were ants in the bed and on the nightstand.

Big rooms. Nice hotel. Enjoyed visit

Needs updating and maintenance.

Rustic

The lobby area was nice. The rooms are very dated and smelled musty. The AC worked sometimes and other times didn't. Remodeling bathrooms is much needed. We had no maid service and wete there for 3 days in the Texas Jy heat. The hot tub is not working.

What we would suggest is cutting back the hedges to some of the entrances so that you can see where you’re going. Our shower curtain should have been at least 6” longer to keep the water inside the tub. Another suggestion? Mount Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Gel dispensers in the tub/shower. Gone are the days of “mini-shampoo bottles”. With a little bit of TLC, money and imagination this could definitely be a “go to” spot for lots of families as well as businesses. Still a nice place to stay for the money! Thanks!
