Staff was excellent! Told ya about the Mt Rushmore lighting.

Roosevelt Inn is centrally located in Keystone. An easy walk to many of the attractions and shops. The staff is polite and helpful, the breakfast is yummy and the coffee is amazing. Clean and quaint and totally dedicated to Teddy Roosevelt, you can’t help but feel patriotic 😊.

The rooms are a bit outdated, but my biggest complaint is an unventilated shower. Either have to keep the bathroom door open or take a cold shower. Otherwise, you be drenched in sweat and have pool of steam on everything. I also don’t like the teddy bear scam. My daughters grabbed it immediately had to look it up that its “NOT” a free amenity ( if it is its not announced anywhere)

We ended up needing to shorten our stay before checking in and was told we would need to give 48 hours. Which technically it was 48 hours before the last 2 nights. So we were charged 2 nights we were not there.

Coms: bath tub was dirty, bathroom floor had hair all over, toilet was very low, AC unit was loud, constant loud noise from the AC and the pipes knocking, parking was compact, room was musky.

Great location! Staff amazing! Good breakfast! Just 2 miles from Mt. Rushmore. Walkable convenience to restaurants, stores, etc.

Plenty of parking and room was good - comfortable beds and other amenities including toiletries. Unfortunately no coffee/tea in room but it was available at the front desk 24/7. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast included both hot and cold options.

I view this hotel as a very clean and nice place to stay staff was polite and helpful I would highly recommend it if you are in the Mount Rushmore area

Beautiful updated room. The room was spotless clean. The breakfast was great (real plates, cups & silverware). Only problem was our room #310 had the sliding barn door for the bathroom that was very hard to start to open after it was fully closed.

Location is convenient, staff was supper helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious but can be updated while preserving the colonial charm hotel. Elevator reminded me tower of Terror ride in Hollywood Studios at Disney World.

We had a fantastic stay at the Roosevelt Inn. Conveniently located within walking distance to a number of restaurants and shops, and a short drive to Mount Rushmore. The room was comfortable and my son loved the loft in our room, declaring this his favorite hotel of all we have stayed at. Complimentary breakfast was fantastic! Highly recommend this hotel.

The room was very nice! The staff was great and even told us about the evening monument event that we were not aware of. Breakfast was delicious.

The Roosevelt Inn was such a fun place to stay with family for a trip to visit Mt Rushmore! The room with loft had 2 queens and 2 twins and gave our family of 4 plenty of space to spread out and rest well. The game room was okay. The laundry was useful. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was delicious with very kind staff. We especially loved all the quotes and history on the walls!

The lady that came to our room was rude and said that the water takes a long time to heat up and I explained that it had be running for a long time and it's luke warm at best. The water out of the sink could get hot, the water in the shower wasn't. She put her hand in the water and said it's hot - It was not- I explained that the water out of the sink was hot but the shower wasn't getting hot at all. She wanted to argue, I needed to leave - Without a shower.

I am not fond of staying in hotels. I carry disinfectant wipes because they are never clean enough for me. My parents owned a resort and I spent 12 years cleaning cabins and my mom was FUSSY and a clean freak. She checked my work constantly because she said cleanliness was critical for our guests. Had my mom not passed away years ago, I would have thought she was managing The Roosevelt Inn! I was astounded how clean the room was, and even more so at the bedding! The sheets were crisp and had that whiff of bleach and sunshine, like they had been line dried out in the sun. The staff all were so pleasant and helpful and NOT in that fake way! The smiles were genuine. And breakfast was wonderful and filling, and the coffee! It was on all day so I could grab a cup and sit in the gazebo. My grandson really loved swimming and playing ping pong, foosball and pool with his Papa. When we come back it will always be a room at The Roosevelt Inn for us!

The hotel is older but well maintained, it sits in a lot right on the corner of the "main drag" in Keystone. Its location does not lend itself to much of a view from the rooms with balconies but it does put you within walking distance of several restaurants, shops, and entertainment. Biggest issue for me was the breakfast/dining area, it is way too small and not laid out well to move people in or out. I would suggest going when they first start serving, wait for the crowd to thin out, or just walk down the street elsewhere to eat.
