Red Roof Inn Knoxville North - Merchants Drive

Passable

We decided to stay here last minute based on reviews stating that rooms were recently renovated. The location was convenient, but actually was a bunch of undesirable people sitting in chairs in parking lot ( not safe) . Room had a musty smell, a broken TV, and stains on the sheets. There were 4 roaches in the room. We asked to switch rooms and the front desk accommodated this request, but the new room was the same with hostile people sitting next door. If it wasn’t for the shower, we would have been much more comfortable sleeping in the car. We were expecting at least as the same quality of Days inn, but not even close for the price, this location was beyond disappointing…

Maintenance poor.

They won't give my deposit back had roaches climbing on walls the sheets had stains on them they don't tell u about a deposit then they keep it scam

Quiet, clean hotel, Plenty of parking for unit/ trailer. Beds/pillows are very hard, breakfast was not good they need to add a few simple items such as juice sausage and/or eggs. Unfortunately the pool was closed for the season. The entire time we were there It was in the high 90°s very disappointed, No area/ spot to sit outside. It was in a good location walking distance to restaurants.

Doors don't close well. Air conditioner was minimal,had to place towels around the door to help keep heat out so room could cool. The room phone didn't work. The first room we were given had what looked like black mold all over the ceiling.

The staff was super friendly The room was stuffy smelled of cigar. A/C was not cool enuff fer me. Altho filters appeared clean.

It was very convenient to everything we wanted to do in Knoxville.

The property was very clean and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly! The breakfast was a little meager, but good enough. The facility is older and in need of some attention (paint chipping, plaster peeling) but was very clean! It will be my go to hotel for Knoxville stays especially in the summer because the outdoor pool was lovely! There are also lots of restaurants very close by, a really nice liquor store, and a grocery store. With it being so close to the interstate, it was a very quick Lyft ride into downtown.
