Hideaway Cove Poipu Beach

The location was excellent. It was a 5 min walk to the beach, which has good snorkeling and most days, turtles that come in the evening. The lanai had plenty of seating, the bed was comfortable, and the A/C in the bedroom was great to have. We used the laundry facilities (new machines, very nice), and the little amenities like coffee for the first day, an arrival basket, beach chairs and towels, cooler, and beach umbrella were appreciated. The property managers were friendly and responsive when we had questions. And we enjoyed the plumeria tree in front for shade and bird watching.

Location was prime. Layout of studio was perfect for two. Island treats left in fridge for us a pleasant surprise. Kitchen equipment meant one could easily cook meals and enjoy quiet evenings. Powerful air conditioning meant we could cool place quickly when needed. When spending $2000 for 4 nights lodging, it is reasonable to expect everything to be nearly perfect. It wasn’t. TV wasn’t workable and caretaker had to come over and help us watch the Tonys. Not very successfully and we could never get the tv to work after he left us. ( Instructions were for a different tv system that were never updated). Missed most of our show. All four lamps needed 3 way bulbs so guests could read. Toilet needed to be resealed to floor as it was loose when one used it. Garbage disposal, though seemingly new, didn’t work efficiency so we ended up throwing everything in garbage. Cleaning fee of $180 was ridiculous commensurate to size of place.

Bed was very comfortable and location was perfect. Dark unit and bugs( cockroaches) in the kitchen.

Excellent location. Quiet and yet close to beach. Spacious house with everything you need. Lovely big deck . Pillows could use replacing. Otherwise it was great!

We loved staying here. Quiet, tucked away street but still within walking distance of beaches and many of the main attractions in Poipu. The property was clean, and very comfortable--we loved the bed! Really nice kitchen and space overall, and great to have the option to do laundry if needed, and to have a full kitchen. The snacks left by the hosts was a nice extra touch! I would recommend staying here is you want your own spot on a quiet street that is still pretty close to attractions, but I would definitely rent a car if you want to go further towards other restaurants near the resort area We arrived quite late at night and it is pretty dark, so it took us a minute to locate the property since it's set back from the road. I also didn't love that they leave the code for the door in an envelope that is left out on a table on the front deck, technically accessible by anyone. That said, this street was very quiet and seemed very safe--I'm just always extra mindful of these things! You could also hear people upstairs pretty clearly, but we didn't spend a lot of time in the property as we were out exploring often

Virtually everything, the Lanai was perfect for the HI winter weather. So nice I truly do not remember any aspect of the lodging that did not exceed my standards.

The location was perfect. All questions were answered very quickly. It was a last minute booking for us and we could not have been more pleased. Would highly recommend.

Very clean and a great location. The full kitchen was great to have to make home cooked meals and save since food is very expensive on the island.

It was clean and comfortable. The owners left a very nice welcome basket with coffee and goodies that was much appreciated. The front porch is quiet and has comfortable furnishings for relaxing. The location is great, just a short walk to the beach and more peaceful than property right on the beach. They also provided 2 big beach towels, 3 beach chairs and a beach umbrella, which was all very nice to have. We wished it had a washer and dryer, but managed without it. Two additional beach towels and a boogie board would have been awesome to have.

Very well maintained and close to restaurants and beaches. Besides the cockroaches……???? We had the dolphin studio which was well appointed and comfortable. However….upstairs neighbor seemed to be arranging furniture all through the night. Loud scraping noises, heavy footsteps and very loud music. Very hard to sleep.

The communication was great. The accommodations and location was great. You have every thing that we need. The only improvement that needs is a NEW SHOWER HANDLE and a little more water pressure on the shower. I will recommend the place

The accommodation is in a phenomenal location- on a quiet street just a short walk to the beach and a short drive to many restaurant options. Parking was easy. Being situated at the south end of the island made it easy to get to attractions on both the east and west side of the island. The accommodation felt like home immediately. We loved sitting at the table on the front porch, admiring the trees and other tropical plants on the property. We ate many of our meals out there. The accommodation is very well provisioned with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Check-in was extremely easy and the host super-responsive. We also loved that the laundry facilities on the property were free and conveniently located. I also appreciated how easy check-out was- not the typical list of check-out instructions- just a message thanking us for our stay. We only had one minor glitch. The apartment above us has a jacuzzi with a pump that was malfunctioning such that it turned on every couple hours throughout the night. The vibration and sound woke us up the first two nights. The host turned off the pump so it was no longer an issue but future guests may want to inquire whether it’s been fixed. Also, the floors are thin- so you will hear your upstairs neighbor unless they tip toe around. Not a problem for us but others may find it annoying.

Quiet, treehouse feel close to beach. Large and comfortable common spaces with two nice bedrooms and baths…privacy and togetherness! Kitchen well furnished with new appliances and ample dishes, cooking things. Nice hot tub and lovely decks. Mattress in master bedroom was too soft, bit lumpy. All else was great

Such a wonderful place to stay in Poipu! Walking distance to the beach and some restaurants, quiet, and comfortable!
