The ocean front room was amazing and staff were great but the pool was terribly underwhelming. We were so excited to rent a cabana and do a pool day on one of our vacation days but the status of the pool caused us to cancel and reassess our plans.

The room was excellent! Very clean, perfect ocean front view.The lava’s restaurant was great food and service! Parking was a little too small.

This resort desperately needs updating. Specially the beds, linens and bathrooms. Also bathrooms need better ventilation as ours had mold in the vents. Location is nice and the oceanfront room view was spectacular.

Good place to stay but expensive and doesn’t offer great beach for swimming. Also it smelled weird sometimes.

Other than the service being extremely slow at lava on poipu every way truly amazing

We were supposed to get an oceanfront room with 2 queen beds. When we checked in with a lady called Grace, she informed us that all they had was a room with a queen bed and a pull-out sofa bed. Grace informed us that the hotel could change the type of room EVEN THOUGH we had booked a room with 2 queen beds. There was a total lack of empathy and the staff did not even TRY to find us another room. They would not even offer us a refund for providing us with a sub-standard room that we had not booked.

The property and beach was nice. The beach was a little rough for my 4 year old, but the pool was good. The Rum Fire restaurant was very good, while the other one was okay. Staff was either friendly or polite but seemed over it.

we had an oceanfront room I understand that this is "Hawaii" and the expense to maintain a beachfront property does take it's toll on the wear and tear, however, having plastic cups to use was not what I expected.

We had an ocean view room and it was spectacular. Lava was typical bar. It could use some updates. Rumfire onsite restaurant was fire. Great dinner there butterfish and lamb chop combo.

The rooms were very nice and comfortable but worn out lightly. Most the staff were very friendly…the cleaning staff were all lovely. The beach and pool access were great, the restaurants were convenient but severely over priced for the quality. Overall nice stay.

Great service, clean good location. Ocean view was beautiful staff was amazing and helpful when we checked out and didn’t fly out until 10 they were very accommodating. Would love to come back.

Overall, the property is very nice and I would stay there again, but definitely pack your patience for the front desk and don't expect your room to be ready on time.
