The Tides Laguna Beach

Very nice, old-fashioned motel that is clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. Free parking. Very easy walk to the beach, restaurants, art galleries, etc. Friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Staff is so warm and kind. Truly the best experience we’ve ever had from a hotel. They gave us a handwritten welcome card that i kept when we left, and they had beach towels and snacks to give. They made our trip so special, we will definitely be staying again :)

Wonderful lowkey place to stay. Nice rooms with kitchenette or full kitchens. Fresh interior, good sizes. Dog friendly. Free parking. One can walk all over, to town, to the beach, to the grocery store. We love it!! We have stayed here serveral times.

Unfortunately, we may have been unlucky and were put up in a room that was a striking departure from the photos and the experiences described by most travelers. Room 210 had no windows, a small chair, a dirty headboard, and scratches- it did not look like the photos online. It was a strange experience. The staff was nice and very helpful. They recognized that the room should probably not be in use and offered a small token discount. Before booking a room with them, ensure you don't get put in such a room.

We just loved the Tides, very beachy, very clean and modern and very close to the beach and other Laguna activities

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the Tides. The staff, the heated pool, and room was all amazing!

Lovely room. My only complaints: the electrical outlets didn't fit our plugs, and the water pressure was low. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay there.

The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. We were greeted with a card and welcome treats. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Cannot beat the location!

The Hotel is beautiful, clean and close to everything: the impressive SJC Mission, many wonderful restaurants and the train depot. The man behind the counter was very helpful when I checked in.

Great place to stay for our family trip. Pool was warm. Free access to beach supplies (towels, umbrella, boogey boards, etc) was very helpful. Staff was friendly and helpful. So many things and beach within walking distance.

great location next to downtown, Heisler park and picnic beach :) we walked for eats and took the trolley for a fun ride - loved this property and will def return with the family

Perfect location for proximity to the beach and restaurants. Very walkable community and free parking was a plus .
