Dutch Wonderland Inn

The proximity to the Dutch Wonderland park & we also like that they had an arcade & both indoor & outdoor pools It felt like more of a motel. The room & the lobby areas both had a weird mildew smell. The pillows were small & very uncomfortable.

Good location The pool outside was closed our entire stay and the indoor was very over crowded and over capacity to swim

I like the arcade for the kids and the coloring room for the children and the fire pit in the back. I love that everything else was it was just OK, but it was very convenient being next-door to the amusement park that I did love.

The room is spacious, and I like both outdoor and indoor pools. The staff are very nice and friendly.

Seems kid friendly, tvs on each bunk bed, cool slide on pool. Rooms were hotel prices for motel value and I stood at better motels. Room was very dirty…worst rug I ever stepped on felt sandy and wet. (Found bugs) I had an allergic reaction to their sheets(not hotel quality at all) rooms were not thought out could offer more family convenience.(such as a small couch or chair or a tiny 2 sitter table in empty area of room) restaurant on site was horrible not worth a penny, also very rude my autistic daughter had a melt down and was not able to eat at all or sit because she was overstimulated(had to send her and my husband to the room to not interrupt other guest) and I had to request 2 times for my husband and her to be removed from the bill that were not able to eat at all.

Clean, friendly staff No tables or chairs in the room. Not enough to do in the hotel area.

Pool was nice but there weren't towels available. Dinner was expensive and bland. The market was not open 2 of the days we were there. The arcade was expensive and most od the games are your tokens without letting you play the game. The characters never came for the meet and greet.

The carpet floor in the room felt very damp .

Everything was great except there weren’t many outlets available around the room for items like a sound machine or night light for the kids. Also the kitchen and snack area were closed at 1pm together. Other than that everything was fantastic.

Excellent location, a lot restaurant and outlets around it. When we arrived, they couldn't find our reservation in their system. They sorted it out after we waited a bit. I didn't like the hotel's layout, as the entrance is from the outside and involves stairs. The bathtub drained very slowly.

We enjoyed that it was so close to the park. Very convenient. Wasn’t that clean. The bed linens always felt damp. There were garbage bins and laundry bins lined up on the side walks in front of the of the rooms. We had to wait 7 hours to get more towels. There wasn’t enough staff to have the little convenience shop opened one day. Our first night there, the front desk gave us the wrong key!! We were entering someone else room at 11 pm!! People were sleeping. The breakfast buffet could use a little help, the food was not appetizing.

The room was bare-bones with no amenities expected in a comparably priced hotel. The best I can say it was a room to sleep, nothing more. Very disappointing.

Our "poolside" room was on the 2nd floor (no elevator). Apparently they consider a room to be poolside if it faces the pool. I assumed it meant we would have direct access to the pool. It didn't really matter since the outside pool was closed for a large portion of our stay due to "staffing issues." One of our queen size beds was broke and sunk to the floor when I sat on it. They said they would try to get us a new room the 2nd day but after carrying heavy luggage upstairs and unpacking I decided not to even pursue it. There was no microwave in the room. They stocked it with 1 washcloth and 2 towels. In addition, Dutch Wonderland, the amusement park recently purchased this hotel which is directly next to it. I purchased tickets to the amusement park prior to our trip only to be told when checking in that it was closed the week of our stay. I would not recommend staying at this motel. It was very disappointing for me and my granddaughter.

1000% would NOT RECOMMEND. Lobby was updated but that's about the only nice thing I can say. The rooms were so dirty, I wish I would have left early and complained. The carpet in the room was DAMP. All the time, wet carpet. How gross. And the bathroom/shower area had small hairs on the shower wall and the shampoo bottles before we even used it. So humid and muggy in the room, I bet there was mold in there and the air conditioner. I stayed with another family and this was their experience too unfortunately.

Overall the stay was nice. The staff was friendly. We were very disappointed that the outdoor pool was closed due to staff shortage. We booked specifically for the slide/pool. The room was nice and clean but the bathroom had a very low drop ceiling and was tiny so it felt very claustrophobic. We loved the fire Pitt.

The location Rooms was not the cleanest had hair all in the bathroom and beds.
