Holiday Inn Express & Suites Las Cruces North by IHG

Our A/C window unit could not keep up to cool below 74 degrees. It was July and very hot we called the front desk about 1 hour into our stay to get assistance, after their technician attempted to trouble shoot they offered bringing us a fan, which we excepted. I woke up several times in the night due to being hot, and it never cooled below 74. Their hallways and elevators stayed hot and muggy. We chose this hotel due to it looking newly renovated, and it was in appearance, but if i had known there would be a cooling issue i would not have booked. The manager was not present at our checkout to make any compensations for our hot stay and we were told they would get back to us after the weekend. I am hopeful they will make it right next week.

room was clean. Staff was helpful and nice complimentary breakfast. Laundry room had a foul smell and run down. Hotel posted a a disclaimer saying not responsible for condition of washer and dryer, which I found odd. probably wouldn't book there again, but do like Holiday Inn locations.

The hotel is a nice hotel. Typically the same throughout the franchise. Breakfast was good with several choices and a staff that were very nice and stayed on top of the cleaning and options. The A/C didn’t work well. The room never could get below 70. My wife and I like to sleep in 68 degree rooms. Our room said it was 70 but I was sweating all night. In Las Cruces, the temps were well above 100 during the day. Trying to sleep in a hot room didn’t help. But overall, it was a nice stay. It was very quiet and comfortable for a nights stay.

Although the staff was nice and the place was clean, it was basic things for breakfast. Too basic even if it was included. I get the idea of compostable items to save energy, but put money elsewhere to make it more valuable. Some doors kept getting stuck when entering or leaving. The coffee machines were out of order most of the trip and so was the pancake machine. Its the weekend, there were kids, at least have a back up. Especially since there wasn't much breakfast items to choose from. All in all, not the worst, but it could've been better.

Everything was excellent. The hotel was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was diverse and well-stocked with a few fruit options. Nothing, honestly.

The rooms were very clean. I even stopped one of the housekeepers to let them know they do a great job. The beds were very comfortable as well. I would definitely recommend to others.

We come to Las Cruces several times a year but have never stayed at this property. Due to a couple of big concerts in the area everywhere was sold out and the prices were extremely high. We were pleasantly surprised at how pleasant and accommodating the front desk was, getting us into another room since ours wasn’t ready. I was also happy with the room since it looked like everything had been recently renovated. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner but overall we were very satisfied.
