Thunderbird Hotel

At first, I wasn’t too sure about this place because it was off the strip, but if you need a place to crash with great customer service, this is the place to go. I was visiting some friends that weekend, so I didn’t stay at the hotel too long, but it was off the side, and there was no traffic, so I gotta say, all in all, it was a five-star trip for me. The customer service downstairs when I got there was fantastic!

Everything was great but what’s up with the small pillows. lol felt like I wash crashing out on someone’s sofa. lol other than that my stay was great. Close to a lot of meat places. Definitely coming back.

They wouldn’t take my card bc you can’t see the numbers on the physical credit card. Honestly just felt suspicious.. the staff refused to even run the card. I was told that they need to see the card numbers, and that I could change the credit card number.(which is not possible.)

So… next room, on first floor, but told “we try not to use second floor…” so… should be some better then. Then last two night to go… yup… someone put in floor above me (don’t use any of all the other empty rooms!) and got to have stomping for two days. Running brown noise and ear plugs for two night helped until I could get outta there. Never again.

It was very clean, and the staff was really nice The location wasn't as good as I expected, I went on a solo trip and I felt insecure walking there

We stayed the night after returning from a backpacking trip in Havasupai. We were greeted with an unfriendly and understaffed front desk. First we were treated like we didn’t have a reservation, even though the rooms were paid for. Then we were treated like criminals - when everyone staying has to show identification you know it is in a shady location and not usually frequented by upstanding citizens. We were given three rooms close together on the top floor which was nice. All the rooms were clean and well cared for. One bed in one room squeaked with any breathing all night long - not great for sleep. The pool was clean and a great temperature. The price was low, but probably wouldn’t stay again.

My bed had bed bugs, so I definitely do not recommend booking here. When I woke up, I found a baby bed bug crawling right next to my face. If there was one, I can only imagine how many more were hiding in the bed. This was extremely disturbing and unacceptable. Please be careful and check the bed before staying here.

I booked the deluxe room with the pool view and did not have the pool view.

Staff was great, room was clean, had an elevator for my handicap self didn’t have to climb the stairs. The door in our room has a huge gap, so light went thru it. The pool could have at least been skimmed it was kinda dirty. Would have been nice to have security roaming around the parking lot, we had someone try and enter our room in the middle of the night.
