Microtel Inn by Wyndham Albany Airport

This is a basic hotel. Old, needs repair and updating. Continental breakfast was all carbs except for a low protein yogurt option.

TV did not work. Manager would not help us. Long story but it definitely bothered my 71 year old mother. We'll never go back

We reserved 2 accessible rooms for 2 nights in September 2026 and received exactly that. Rooms were small, clean and comfortable. Everything worked as it should and no bugs. Bed was a bit soft for my taste and breakfast was lame. Did not use any amenities or have room cleaned while we stayed there. Would stay here again.

Not a good value for the money you spend. Not a great experience overall.

Anytime I'm in the Albany area, I will stay at this location. It was very convenient

Clean

Superb

I come into the area from Rochester, where I've been treated for the past couple of years for a serious heart-related issue stemming from 9/11 deployment. The are always accommodating, especially PK. I am grateful for them.

Xxx

The first room I was put into had stains on the fabric cushions underneath next to the windows. The TV would also not turn on. The second room had a broken desk chair. Overall it could definitely use some updating.

Bad

I have never been greeted so rudely by a manager/owner when checking in. First he was hard to understand. Then he was upset that I had not indicated I had a dog and was "lucky" that there was one room left or he would cancel my reservation. Still no amenities like refrigerator, microwave, or coffeemaker. A breakfast that had no hot items whatsoever (unless you put an eggo in the toaster). The area around the hotel needs to be picked up. $$$ was a factor in my decision to stay here, but next time I would spend more to stay somewhere else.

A late-night last-minute booking saved a business trip for me. The staff was wonderful - helped me up the stairs with my bag - there is no elevator - and they were so kind even at that late hour. The room was pristine and the bed was comfortable, water was nice and hot. Clean fresh towels. It is close to a roadway and I was able to hear that through the windows unfortunately. My neighbor was watching true crime all night loud enough for me to hear it word for word but I was so tired I fell right asleep. Checkout was easy. I would definitely stay here again. It was SAFE and clean, and as a single female business traveler I really, really appreciate that.

Staff were really great. Property appears to have been updated. Room was small but sufficient. There was some damage to various areas, like the television. The room had a really bad odor like musty old cigarette smell.

The refrigerator was very noisy
