La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Salt Lake City - Layton

The room was great, there was plenty of space in the suite. The breakfast was a very nice spread. When our family travels, there are 9 of us so we look for places with a good selection for breakfast and this one did not disappoint!! I also enjoy it's location. It is within walking distance to plenty of places to eat and shop.

To say the least when mold is present on the bathroom walls. And cocking is missing around the tube is an issue. Plus not to mention, allowing other parties who are staying in this hotel - there dogs to freely roam the hallways and bark whenever is a reasonable concern.

The toilet was to low.

Since at front office they weren’t helpful I tried to call Expedia to get some help, unfortunately both of the times I called they gave me no resolution! Hopefully via this complain I can get some help. Us paying customers demand honesty when booking a hotel and a little bit of cleanliness !! Same weekend I lived through this nightmare, the lady in room 326, she also had the same problems. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE STAYING HERE!! WORST OF HOTELS. 0/100

Front desk was very friendly. Parking is free, plenty of spaces out back, but In N Out Burger takes up the entire front lot. Rooms clean, great AC, trash outside full. Breakfast was the usual, didn't eat there. Cracker Barrel and plenty of shops nearby. I felt safe and would stay again.

Super dirty, hot tub was broken, sketchy neighborhood, very loud hallway outside our door with a large gap under the door we had to stuff a pillow and towel at the bottom of the door to try and block some noise but it did t work. Loud freeway right outside our window. Got woken by a car alarm. I had to get up and make sure our car wasn’t getting stolen. Didn’t stay the second night

Nice that it’s right next to in and out. Nice front desk staff. Big tv u can log into Netflix

Super outdated, the 3 floor was torn apart in the hall ways, the carpets, walls, and doors looks like they’re barely hanging on and the pool/hot tub is disgusting

WiFi does not work. Staff would not do anything to help. There was a plunger right outside our hotel room when we first got there ( they gave us a new room ) but ??!?!

I would skip staying at this hotel. We tried to check in early and were told no. We noticed there were other people in the lobby waiting and they looked homeless. They had dogs with them. We came back later an it look 15 minutes for staff to get to us to register. During our stay the cops were called twice. The hotel desperately needs to be remodeled and updated. I watched staff walking around with bug spray so I would say skip this one it’s not worth it.

My Niece cut her foot at pool and I told staff and they said oh I’m sorry I will write down , was given roll bed and it was broken

The bathroom light would randomly go off….while in the shower or on the toilet. Sometimes it would come back on with a wave of the arm. Sometimes by turning the switch off and then on again. And one time, I was just in the dark! The wall mounted blow dryer would not work. We requested a replacement, as we had a dinner meeting, and after 10 minutes on hold had to re-call the front desk. My wife was told that guests were checking in! When we received the replacement blow dryer, we were asked for the old one as an exchange. I told the guy, it is mounted on the wall. Okay, he said. When I tried unplugging the wall mounted blow dryer, it started to work, if you held the plug block just right, so there was a bad electrical connection in that blow dryer. The breakfast area seemed too small for the size of the hotel, as there were too few chairs/tables to be able to sit at, both mornings we were there! It was a less pleasant experience than expected!

The night staff was great but nothing else went well. I rented 2 rooms and 1 was fine but the other had at least 50 dead bugs on and around the window. When we let them know, they did send staff to clean it up. Then the next morning, we had some mysterious black muddy substance back flow into our sink and it splashed all over my toiletries. Not returning.

The description is what to be expected. Worked for me for a week out in Utah for school

Overall was horrible stay..and ran out of breakfast food early.

For $140/night we expected to at least have a cleanliness, a working tv, and internet… nope. The pool was closed. Didn’t know that until we arrived. With 3 kids, we wouldn’t have booked had we known. The tv didn’t work - just said “no signal” because the Dish box was broken (we tried everything to fix it). The internet was so horribly slow it couldn’t even load my ebook. Check in was chaos. The card reader was down. They didn’t even check my ID which I found strange. Then a couple hours later we got a knock on our door to “see if they had assigned the room to someone or not.” The caulk in the bathroom was moldy/gross. The only pros were that the beds were relatively comfy and the staff were nice enough! Overall, we will not ever be back.

The room was okay but the WiFi did not work and the pool and hot tub were unavailable which should be told before getting there or on the details of the hotel.

No pool or hot tub available that weekend. Shouldn't advertise it if when I get there is just have to go across the street to the sister hotel to get what I paid for.
