Aloft by Marriott Leawood-Overland Park

I’m rating my stay a 2 stars of cleanliness parking and amenities I would not recommend.

AC was out in main areas… not able to use the bar area,pool table or even the did area due to it being extremely hot. I felt terrible for your weak employees in that heat to work.

Great location, nice rooms The pool was under construction and the sirco did not work in the main areas. It was very hot.

The lobby and balcony were beautiful. The bartender Kate in the evening was awesome. Super friendly and made delicious drinks! Prior to arriving, i was emailed that the pool was down. I emailed back asking if I could recieve a dicount due to not being able to provide all accommodations and recieved no feedback at all. Lobby host when I checked in was not accommodating as well. Everytime i asked about something it seemed to be an inconvenience. Bedding was basic hotel. The lobby ac was broken. It was stuffy and warm in there. Website says the breakfast was $5 a person. When I viewed it when checking in. It was a order menu all different pricing which is fine. But then the next morning when going to the lobby I asked about ordering breakfast and the same host was there. And he proceeded to tell me who ever runs the breakfast did not come in. There were carpet stains all down the hallway to the room. Its as if the building maintenance is lacking and some service can definitely be improved.

Despite booking this stay months in advance, and paying 4x the regular rate due to the World Cup, the condition of the hotel and the quality of the service were mediocre, at best. The lobby was very hot, seems that the AC did not work in that area. The room was OK but it did show some signs of wear. The shower valve constantly fell off. After our first night, their daily cleaning service consisted on kinda making the beds and adding a new soap bar to the bathroom, but they could not even wipe the surfaces or vacuum the carpets. Although I have stayed in other Aloft hotels and understand that it is a business traveler hotel, this property seemed to be subpar.

From check in to check out, my experience at ALoft was excellent. Luke provided quality customer service, great suggestions for navigating the surrounding and compact area and precise instructions on available parking. The property and room amenities were perfect for my extended weekend stay. - Thank you - Emma E.

Air conditioning wasn’t working in the lobby area and it was very warm and stuffy.

Location Was supposed to get free breakfast but was denied breakfast without an up charge ,claiming an error on Booking.com. Staff had no interest in fixing problems.

Check in on 2nd floor is a pain. Guest room windows hadn't been washed in years -- there was an attractive view on the plaza side, but you could barely see it for the dirty windows. Air conditioner or something else was making a lot of noise throughout the night, like the beating of a drum for an American Native dance at a Pow-Wow. However the location is excellent for our needs.

There were carpet stains and torn furniture. The sassy guy at the front desk was rude. We parked in the front to check in because you’re not aware where guest are to park until after check in. Then we go up to our room to check it out got 3 minutes and he hunts us down in the elevator about moving our car.

The parking was not connected to the hotel so you had to walk further than normal to the garage where you were to park. At night, I could see where some would think this is inconvenient and possibl dangerous.
