The Leo Collection Detroit, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The property needs a little update I would say on the rooms and somebody else to design the room For some reason they haven’t sent me deposit yet and this my second stay hear the first time it took like a month to get my deposit back but now it’s been 3 weeks since my stay still haven’t received my deposit

Loved the quiet and the room was clean and comfortable.

Nothing. We came down to celebrate getting in engaged recently and immediately were met with a dirty dusty lobby and rude staff.. we arrived an hr after 3pm check in and our room still want ready and had to wait to go to our room. Once arriving to the room we realized they gave us the wrong room. The wrong was nothing like the pictures of the room I booked. We booked a whirlpool room with seperate stand up shower but got a room with a shower/bath combo. We immediately told staff as soon as we arrived to room and was met with no help and no solution. We even offered to pay to upgrade to their larger 2 room suite with whirlpool and was told there is nothing that can be done the room is the room we have and that’s it. The staff at front desk charged me the wrong deposit( $100 for regular room and $250 for whirlpool room) we were charged only $100. We asked for a refund since we are not happy with the room and we’re told there was nothing staff on site could do because we booked through a booking.com and we had to contact their customer service. So we contacted booking.com customer service and they requested a refund to the property so we could move on to a different hotel and enjoy or engagement weekend. But the rude staff denied our request despite clearly giving us the wrong room and charging the incorrect deposit! We chose to leave to an another hotel and had a great experience at other hotel. We are currently fight with this location to give us our money back. Never in all my years of booking hotels have I ever experienced anything like thiss.I never stay with Leo collection ever again! They almost ruined my engagement weekend! Picture include room we booked and room we received!

Cleanliness, nice and cordial staff, room was spotless sheet soft and no debris under mattress or headboard and everything worked Nope

It was close to the highways, a lot of gas stations and restaurants. It was a nice stay quiet and peaceful. Staff was welcoming and helpful.

The woman working the front desk was one of the best hotel employees I’ve ever stumbled across ! Nothing!

it was beautiful inside, staff was beyond kind,. our beds were spacious and comfortable. the breakfast was good for what we had to pick from. (not much) we lost power in just our room which was odd. rest the hotel had power and we had only turned the Tv on. also the smell of pot over took at times. but what do you do. thats a me problem.

The rooms were clean and the staff is wonderful. They were extremely accommodating.

It was very clean I did not like the bed or the shower

Nice clean room, decor a bit odd but other than that was a good value, would stay again. very dirty run in front of elavator gave me the creeps and I was concerned the room would be equally as bad but thankfully, I was suprised at how clean it was. 1st impressons really do stick with you!

Close to the Detroit river where we were fishing. Not a lot of options for breakfast.

My husband and I stay here frequently when we visit Michigan and this has always been a great and friendly experience.

Good location to be close to downtown but not in all the chaos of downtown. TV was a nice size to watch from the bed. Extra chairs to sit in was nice as well. The jetted tub didn’t turn on. The staff was very friendly and tried to help, I was compensated on it but it was the reason I chose this property so a little disappointing. I feel like for the amount paid it was a little steep for the room, definitely can tell it used to be a 1 star hotel renovated on a dime to appear more high end.

The beds were so comfy! And they're pet friendly! Room was amazing compared to most hotels! Definitely a hidden gem! Nothing, it was perfect.
