Syracuse Grand

Very pleasant. More towel changes and needed. Also garbage take out daily. More food for the crowd flow. Other wise great place to stay for families.

So I was hesitant to book at first because of the overall rating of this property but recent reviews looked decent so I booked anyway. I booked for the night of the 4th of July and overall our stay was pretty good. Our room was clean and spacious. We had a king size bed that was comfortable. The room was hot when we arrived but once the air conditioning kicked in everything was fine with the temperature. The room amenities were scarce but additional items could be requested at the front desk. We used the pool and the hot tub. I will say there was a very strong chlorine odor in the pool room which burned our eyes a little at first but we still enjoyed both the pool and hot tub. We also enjoyed the hot breakfast. We had eggs, pancakes and sausage with juice and yogurt. All tasted good. The location was right next to a gas station for any additional needs as well. Guests were a little noisy after the 10:00 p.m. quiet hours but everyone calmed down by 11:00 p.m. and it was a holiday weekend. Overall I would say it was definitely worth the price we paid and I would stay here again.

Room was a disaster and in horrible cleaned state

Water stains on the curtains and the walls. Water refill stations didn’t work, breakfast buffet didn’t have any “fresh” juice because that machine was also broken.

The biggest drawback was the air conditioner, which was extremely noisy throughout the night and made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. To make matters worse, I called the front desk at around 9:00 PM to report the issue, but no one answered the phone, and I never received a callback to check on the problem or offer any assistance. On the positive side, the breakfast was good, and the hotel provided safe and convenient parking, which was a definite plus. Overall, it was a decent stay, but the lack of responsiveness from the staff and the noisy air conditioner affected the overall experience.

They say you will get your deposit back in 3-6 business days but thats not true. We left our room clean and still got charged and still haven't received a receipt.

Great hotel. Clean, friendly and great pricing with wonderful amenities! The guests however are horrible!

When we arrived, we were met by a kind and helpful staff member of the hotel. She provided us with both our room key as well as recommendations for local cuisine and was both helpful and professional. Once in our room, the beds were made and we had fresh towels, but it was obvious the floors hadn’t been swept in a while as there was trash, candy, and a fake finger nail on the floor. They not only needed to be swept, but carpet cleaned as well. The bathroom was alright, but the heat lamp bulb had been removed, the wall in the shower looked as though mold might be growing behind it, and the shower faucet was loose enough to come off in hand when you apply any outward pressure. The beds were fairly hard and at no point over our three night stay, did room service ever come by and dump the trash, sweep, or make the beds. When I went to the gym, it was extremely limited with only three single dumbbells over various weights, some medicine balls, a treadmill, and a sit down exercise bike. The A/C didn’t work and there was no ventilation so the room heated up quickly as soon as I began my workout and the floor got dangerously slippery. I brought it up to the staff and asked for a fan for the room, but they didn’t have one. Lastly, breakfast was alright and left a lot to be desired. Overall, good price but left a lot to be desired.

The time we spent in the pool and the hot tub was absolutely wonderful!! My daughter and grandsons LOVED the pool, but for me, it was all about the hot tub! As far as the complimentary breakfast went, it was like eating in a restaurant and not a hotel. This was not your usual continental breakfast, but a FULL breakfast. The food was delicious! I am disabled, and I was so grateful to the kind and courteous staff for their willingness to help me out if I needed it. I travel quite often with my family, and if our journeys take us through Syracuse, we will DEFINITELY stay at the Syracuse Grand again!!!

The room was clean, the staff was super helpful and professionally friendly, the hot tub was perfect and the air conditioning was great.

Breakfast n lobby hangout was decent however the shower curtains are poorly hung making it hard to shower, sheets look likes they weren’t changed. Honestly needs a major upgrade, staff was a pleasure tho

They were beginning toswitch over to becoming a Hilton. So some if the room furniture was older but the room was clean and bed and sheets comfortable. They had alot of rules which i was happy to see and you had to sign a paper agreeing to them. This wsy you did not have to worry about out of control children or huge parties going on while you were there. The front desk people were exceptionally nice and accommodating. Great price!

But the hotel still asks for a card off the driver for their file

Breakfast was not the best soggy bacon and runny eggs. But other than that everything was great staff was very very helpful and welcoming, check in and out was very smooth.

TV wasn't working, it was a very long driving day and we had gone to bed and wanted to relax. Maintenance and staff came and moved out dresser and after about 20 minutes tv was fixed. In the morning, said dresser was still moved out away from wall exposing bed bug matter and mice droppings. Bed was uncomfortable. Reported all the above and showed room to person at desk who said she would take the room off rotation and start refund process. Never received refund.
