Best Western Plus Hotel At The Convention Center

I was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel to be the most comfortable, friendly, well-kept, clean hotel I've stayed in in a while. The magnifying mirror in the bathroom; the desk space that's functional for working in the room; a TV that swivels just enough to be able to comfortably see it from the desk to the bed to the chair in the corner;a bar of soap for the sink and a travel sized bottle of lotion; and the hand held showerhead were all wonderful additions that I've not come to expect anymore.

I rarely write reviews. I am doing so for this hotel solely because of the Wifi - there is none! The staff were all friendly, helpful, and kind. The hotel is remodeled, so was the room and it was great. It is in a great location for walking to the marina and surrounding area. BUT, because there is no Wifi, it is an absolute no for me again. They claim to have Wifi, but it went out during our check-in which made it weird (at no fault to the person helping us) and it goes out so often that you cannot even watch TV.

I loved the location It was undergoing renovations. The elevator was draped(kind of creepy). Part of the parking lot was blocked off and workers were everywhere on the 2nd level

Affordability Outdated

Coffee maker wasn't working in room. Everything else a perfect 10.

Staff was nice. The door to my bathroom was auto-closing like I couldn't leave it open when I went back to grab my clothes out of the room it would just automatically shut on me every time. It was more of a front door than a bathroom door. The shower door had the opposite issue, I would slide the door shut and 2 seconds later it would be halfway open and water would be splashing out. I also had a rubber shower pad left in my room one day then the next I had a towel and it sort of rotated which was fine but just strange. The bedding was relatively comfortable and other than some wear and tear cosmetically the place wasn't too bad. The breakfast was probably what you expect at a budget-friendly hotel, kind of just okay but at least they had a couple of options. The pool was about 6 ft wide and 12 feet long and I am not entirely sure what the point of even having it is because it was so small? Also the gym was horrible basically a bike and a treadmill and that is it, but most hotel gyms are that way.

helpful staff. wifi was completely unusable even for basic email. was surprised that for being the “best western at the convention center”, the entire hotel doesn’t have a single iron. not recommended for business travel.

This is my second time staying here, I enjoyed the place so much I booked it again and I will be back next year. Staffing is true amazing people; super helpful and nice!

The staff was really helpful. Only issue was parking.

When we tried to park (with the pass that we paid for at the front desk) we were told it was “fraudulent” and got harassed by staff until a manager corrected them. Most of the staff has no idea what is going on at the property and this was shown from the beginning to the end of the stay. We were told we would have queen beds but got two singles, check in took over an hour in a line of 4 groups, they couldn’t give us one extra blanket, and they overall just appeared disinterested. Do not stay here unless you absolutely must be close to the convention center!

Clean Vending machines empty. Tip envelope in room . Staff was rude at front desk. During my check in and out front desk staff would interrupt while I was speaking also other staff would rudely interrupt front desk and prolong my check in and out WHAT HAPPENED TO COURTESY AND CUSTOMER FIRST

Location Beds are not comfortable. Rooms are so tight. Water from shower has sand. Bed covers were not clean.

The wall paper in the bathroom. The blue was stunning. The toilet paper roll was back on the wall behind. Made it a stretch to reach for it. Not convenient.should have been located to the side of the toilet. Maybe sunken in flush with the counter under the sink.
