Loved it

Room was very small but perfect for what we needed. Staff was great with sneering questions and replenishing supplies. Walk AC was broken but a window unit was installed and kept the room nice and cold! Didn’t get to use the kitchen in the lobby because we forgot about it. We were attending warped tour and so it was only a 15 min walk to the venue. The beach was also just a 20 min walk. Great food options within walking distance. Will definitely stay here again!

The guy in reception had us waiting in the street because he "didn't think we were guests" at the time we registered. There was a large black hair in the hand towel (yucks). There's noise from the street all night. But worst of all was the mattress, so terribly soft because it was either very old or of the poorest quality. For a little over $100.00 you'd expect more.

The room was not the room advertised!! It was small and cramped. Lots of holes on the walls. And a broken window above the air conditioning unit!! I felt ripped off! The room we received WAS NOT what we we're sold in the pictures!

Of downtown. Good food nearby and just a great vibe.

I love staying at Hotel Royal. It is extremely budget friendly whilst keeping the atmosphere modern and chic.

The room itself is small, but thoughtfully set up. I especially loved having multiple mirrors it made getting ready so much easier. I was able to do my makeup in the main area while my partner used the restroom, which worked out perfectly. It’s an ideal spot for two people staying overnight, especially if you’re catching an early ferry. The complimentary water was a nice touch, and having a TV with Netflix was definitely a plus. We chose the small room since we were only using it to rest and continue our journey. It was wonderful! I will definitely stay here again!

Upon arriving, I noticed my bedsheets had dog prints all over them. That, and a towel in the bathroom still had hair all covering it. Thankfully, the front desk guy was incredibly accommodating and set me up with a better room. But even there I noticed old discarded bottles underneath the bed, filthy bed sheets, and grime on the tables/appliances. Great front desk staff and amazing location being downtown, but they need to reexamine their maintenance and cleaning staff.

I have never had such a positive and seamless travel experience than when I stayed at Hotel Royal! They were very attentive days ahead of my trip, answering my questions upon arrival. The property itself is so cute and clean! I felt like I was just staying in a room at my friend’s beach house. They have bikes that you’re able to use during your stay, which is very handy and I will defintely make use of that on my next stay! This property is great for solo travelers or couples looking for a getaway - and the biggest plus was how close it was to walk to and from the beach!

Excellent place to stay pre cruise. Beware! There are stairs for some of the rooms. Very steep!!!😆😆

I like everything inside the hotel. The only one thing I did not have an iron to iron my clothes.

Sketchy area. Someone took my parking spot I paid for and the hotel staff didn’t seem to care or do anything about it. Sketchy people around the hotel.

An extremely dirty place. When you enter the lobby and stairwell, it reeks of urine. It has a shower curtain and black tiles. The towels were torn and dirty. All in all, I do not recommend it.

Friendly staff, good location, loft is a great space, needs some maintenance and general cleanliness could be improved. TV didn't work.

I am trying to get a refund because upon entering my room my chain lock was kicked in and hanging from the wall. They haven’t spoken to me for 3 days after repeatedly asking for assistance. Completely unacceptable and scary.
