Great hotel, the only negative thing was the bathroom was tiny. You could literally wash your hands while sitting in the toilet. Very uncomfortable and I’m a tiny woman. Can’t imagine for a bigger person. We were in the first floor and both our windows faced a wall so keep that I mind if looking for a view. We didn’t mind since we’re there 1 night.

A kettle in the room would be good, along with a bottle of water. My husband was ill on the last night and I had no cash for the vending machine, reception staff wouldn’t allow me to pay by card for just a bottle of water from the Refresh lounge, instead wanting me to pay $20 for lounge access to get one which let the experience down.

The room itself was nice, but no idea why they talk up a rejuvenating experience in the description. None of the provided soaps or lotions were anything beyond the norm. When I looked into the "Revive Lounge" that they advertised, it's a joke. Barely any snacks and a sad looking printer, as if they were just using the room for storage. If you just need a decent room and bathroom, this is fine for an overnight. However, I'll likely book elsewhere in the future, especially if I need multiple nights.

The hotel was very clean and property well maintained. The breakfast was not bad for the price. Staff was very helpful and very nice. One item that I would like to comment on, but it is more of preference is. I like really really really soft sheets and, although, sheet were fine, I like really soft sheets and pillow cases. Other than that hotel was great for the price and location.

The hotel is fairly basic and does not offer many additional amenities. Breakfast is available for an extra charge, but I didn’t feel it was worth the additional cost. Parking is offsite, arranged through the hotel, and cash only. Be aware that the rate can change depending on local events. When we arrived, we were quoted $20, but by the second day it increased to $40 because of an event. There is also an extra charge for early check-in. Overall, guest service was pleasant and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. However, one older woman at the front desk, whom I presumed may have been the owner or manager, did not greet or acknowledge us at check-in, which felt noticeably less welcoming. I’d recommend Lumea by the Sea for a short DTLB stay if location, walkability, and a reasonable room rate are your priorities. The stay was comfortable, but I missed the amenities of larger hotels, designated parking at set rates, and fewer add-on charges. It was different from what I typically prefer, but still a decent option for a short or last minute stay.

The room was clean, the A/C worked fine, the facilities were very well maintained, and overall, the room and the hotel itself were very pleasant. It was the STAFF, however, that made the stay exceptional. I felt like I was a welcome member of the family from the time I arrived until I checked out. Everyone went above and beyond to make me feel like I belonged there. They answered every question, they made helpful suggestions and gave great directions every time I needed guidance. I highly recommend this place to everyone who wants a quiet, safe and friendly stay.

EASY ACCESS BUT HARD TO PARK

The location was excellent and within easy walking distance of the beach, shops, Yacht Harbor Club, and more.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lumea by the Sea! The hotel is clean, comfortable, and in a great location. However , we were very disappointed with the parking pricing discrepancy. On their website and in their official bautomated messages, the parking rate is clearly listed as $20 per day . Before arrival, I even called the hotel to double-check, and the staff told me it would be $25 for the weekend. But upon check-in, we were suddenly forced to pay $30 per day. It is very frustrating to get three different prices, and changing the rate at the last minute feels like a hidden fee . Other than this parking issue, everything else was perfect.

Cute property. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Area is nice and walkable to main street with restaurants. Parking can be challenging.

Other than that it was a very nice experience!
