Hotel as a whole was great, only downside was the mattress. Body was killing us afterwards

Beds were VERY comfortable ... we were there on the Fourth of July ... so quite loud ...

Balcony was a good size too. Bathroom was pretty clean except there was hair and some other debris inside the shower floor. Considering the price point of the room, basic items weren't already in the room, you have to call the front desk and ask for them to be brought to your room i.e. robe, slippers, iron, ironing board, disposable shower cap, dental and shaving kits, Ice bucket, Luggage rack, Makeup Mirror, Microwave (limited availability), Fridge (limited availability). I personally don't like calling the front desk, I'd rather most of these things be in the room already. There is a $25/night amenity fee that includes two bottles of water, which wasn't in the room. I suppose you have to ask for that as well. My stay was pretty good overall, but not what I'd expect from a 4 star rated establishment.

Great location, good cold brew

Also if sharing beware there is no lock on bathroom and has a sliding door that tends to slide open on its own

Thank you so very much for having the most amazing and superb staff!!!

I enjoyed my stay. The room was cozy and clean. The staff was helpful. The overall vibe of the hotel was quiet and relaxing which is what I was looking for during my staycation. I was pleasantly surprised about the size of the balcony. I would absolutely stay here again!

The entrance The bed squeaks like crazy, the heat make noises all night, no rug, only 1 chair in the room, no fridge.

Excellent hotel, comfortable room, clean, great staff and bar!

Great views from the balcony and hotel restaurant was amazing! Dirty shower with clumps of hair, I don’t think anyone cleaned it. For almost 500 a night, I expected it to be clean. Shower handle is also loose so water only stayed on super hot

The Boro's staff is it's strongest asset! They take a really nice hotel and elevate it! The front desk staff both morning and afternoon were lovely and helpful. Rooms were clean, with an industrial feel, but comfortable beds and clean accommodations. The location works well with a short walk to the MTA and the usual plethora of restaurants and stores nearby in this border area of Astoria. Recommend!

I booked 3 rooms for my family and friends who flew in from Korea for my wedding. There was a minor issue with a cigarette odor in one of the rooms, but the front desk team took care of it instantly and moved us to a fresh room without any hesitation. The entire check-in staff was wonderfully welcoming and attentive. Every time we needed more water or towels, they delivered them in a flash. The only tiny downside is the lack of a fridge in the room, but the rooftop completely makes up for it. The rooftop bar is the absolute best part of this hotel. Make sure to go up there for a drink and soak in the stunning city night views!

We liked the interior, the wood flooring, the large room, the large bathroom, the balcony is as wide as the room. The beds were super comfy. The personnel is super nice. I wish we could have had a coffee machine in the room and real mugs. I don't like paper cups (perhaps this is city regulations, encountered that in another hotel in the city)

Grear stay at The Boro!! Great service
-
Large room, nice view, close to the Metro No housekeeping, no dresser or drawers for clothes. The lights in the room were odd- a lightbulb hanging from a wire, only one nightstand, we couldn’t turn off the lights from the bed.

Clean room

I liked the location, which is convenient to both Manhattan and Queens. I liked the industrial feel, the staff are friendly, the rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Room was decent - simple but very spacious, clean and bed was comfortable. Reception staff were friendly. Really nice view of Manhattan from the rooftop bar. Short walk to the nearest metro (about 10-15 minutes maybe, depending on how quick you are to walk though of course). 200$ deposit, and it still has not come back. However, high deposits seem to be normal in New York, as also our previous hotel before this one charged a 100$ deposit. It is just not very nice to have those sorts of amounts gone out of the banking account without being able to see if they're coming back or not. The overall price is, well, it's New York prices. It's going to be more expensive for what you get compared to most places, but that's just how New York is.
