I would like to start this review off by saying that the staff here is lovely. They are engaging, they are attentive, and they are willing to do anything that you ask them to. But I wanna get into a little bit about the property. One, robes are promised. They weren't in the rooms, to be fair. I did not ask for them, but they weren't in the room. I expected them to be in the room, in the closet. There were two people on my reservation, but there was only one washcloth, so I had to go get washcloths as well. The balconies are basically half of a New York fire escape, so if you're the kind of person who is scared of heights but is okay with balconies, this balcony still may not work for you. Check-in and out were pretty seamless. And overall, I had a decent stay. But it wasn't what I was expecting.

Love this hotel! This was my second stay. Both occasions were relatively large family trips to NYC. The hotel clerks (all shifts) were accommodating and chok full of useful information. Thanks to their knowledge of the community, we saved money on snacks and breakfast by hitting up the neighborhood bodega's. That said, we at in the hotel restaurant a few times. Excellent! I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich and the fresh fruit bowl. The cafe staff are excellent and entertained my 83 year old mother's constant need for cups of ice. I actually went to the gym three days in a row to mitigate the damage (so many food options in Long Island City). The roof top bar....Best kept secret! Didn't even know it was there on the first trip. Went up there twice on this trip. The playlist is fire! The view.....priceless. The Boro is "my" spot. I felt safe walking around at night. The location is an excellent "middle ground" for visitors wanting to hit different parts of NYC. We were about 20-30 minutes from everything we wanted to do. Why pay "Time Square" prices if the entire trip is not touring Time Square locations? I will be back!

There is no smart tv just cable tv. So no Netflix or Hulu. The beds are so low and the mattress is to soft and the bed makes to much noise when on it.

The guy who checked me in was amazing. I felt welcomed, like I was the only guest he’s been awaiting. He actually popped outside to make sure I parked my car In a location safe from tickets and even remembered my name the day I checked out. Amazing. The only thing I’d change about the hotel, is to add ice machines on each floor, or provide ice delivery. Going down to the restaurant for ice is a little inconvenient. Other then that, perfect. The view, even though I was on the 3rd floor the view was still good. The food was greatt seasoned well cooked perfectly. (had the salmon and calamari) Bed was very comfy Soundproof caue I didn't hear anyone on my floor. Nice roof top bar to see everything The TV was small, but thats just me and my farsighted eyes . The balcony was nice just could have had something outside to have a seat. It's just made for you too take pictures and go back inside. The food menu needs some more items. Some people have dairy problems and just dont want a pizza and pasta. I get trying to stand out on but some other things can be added on. I only got fries. The cocktail drinks where nasty to me not everything needs mint or some type of fancy leaves in them. A simple margarita won't hurt someone I still drunk it cause I already got it but yea.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Boro Hotel and was able to book a room last minute when my flight was cancelled. The staff was warm, welcoming, and helpful :)

The hotel restaurant is great, and the coffee bar is also very good. I am going to make this a regular hotel moving forward for trips to NYC. Lastly, the staff was very kind and gave me lots of information both about the neighborhood and places to eat. I had no problem walking back to the hotel at 2AM from nearby bars and event locations; the area is safe and there is a nice park nearby. Thanks for a great stay: I will be back!
