Beverly Laurel Hotel at West Hollywood

Hotel was small but pool was nice and room was just fine. My main issue was that there were only standard outlets and I was hoping there’d be one USB. The outlets also stopped worked all together, no TV, couldn’t charge anything or iron. But staff was very pleasant and did let me barrow a charger for a little bit. Overall good experience and I would stay again.

I liked that there was a living room and a bedroom. Staff was amazing and very helpful. I will be staying there again.

Lovely hotel in LA’s best area for dinning, shopping and cultural activities.

Everything was great

📍 The location was fantastic and made getting around LA really easy. 🔊 It can be a little noisy, which is worth knowing if you’re a light sleeper. 🧹 There’s no housekeeping during your stay, which I didn’t mind, but I did find it strange that you still pay a resort fee when there aren’t really the services I’d associate with one. ✨ Overall, I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. Great location, cool vibe and a good base for exploring LA.

All vibes; no substance. Super cool concept but there are no amenities, the air conditioner was broken and the rooms just feel seedy and dirty. Would not stay again or recommend, but it’s a cool spot for a photo shoot!

Great vibe, great location

Check in went smoothly, and the motel was nice. The clerk at the front she was very friendly. Room was comfortable. Wish there was a self park option instead of straight valet, the website did not say it was strictly valet, if it did we would have chosen a different motel and we do not like that we had to constantly wait on valet to grab our vehicle any time we wanted to go somewhere it was very inconvenient for us, especially if we forgot something in the car we couldn't just grab our keys and go to the car, we had to wait for valet. The TV in the bedroom did not work.

The handles fell off the shower and tub. The room smelled terrible, like sewer. The room was dusty and dirty. There was no additional lock on the door so we felt unsafe. The a/c wasn’t blowing cold air so they gave a dusty old fan. Valet was hard to use. The staff was nice and asked why we checked out after just one night.

Clean and friendly staff

There were some odd, unfinished parts of the decor: no doorknob on the door that enclosed the microwave, coffee maker, mini-fridge and an oversize piece of metal on the door to the bathroom that seemed dangerous. Unfortunately, for the time being, there is a construction site next door to the hotel, so it is noisy. We pulled out the sofa bed to find crumbs, glass and other detritus from someone before us. The carpet was dingy and a little damp, perhaps from the air-conditioning.

Reception at arrival was very friendly and prompt. The reception area itself has a cute retro theme, complete with an old TV playing I Dream of Genie re-runs. Cute pool area (though I didn't use it). Room was spacious and fairly clean, if a bit worn down. The location is excellent: Just a few blocks walk from the Farmer's Market, The Grove and the Melrose strip. A longer walk will take you to the awesome museums on Wilshire and Fairfax. There was a powerful smell of cleaning fluid through the corner 'suite'. It triggered my allergies quite bad. The bed was not great: A bit lumpy and not very comfy. After checking out I arranged with the very nice receptionist to hold my luggage for the day. When I arrived back to claim the bags it was very hot and I was running late for my flight. I was a bit flustered and couldn't locate the baggage tags to claim my stuff. The new reception guy (Eastern European accent I think) was rude and basically told me I couldn't have my bags back. I offered to tell him what was in the bags so he could verify. I thank reiterated that my mother had just passed away and I desperately needed to get on a flight to Australia and that the stress caused me to misplace the tickets. This seemed to finally sway him but after getting the luggage for me I was treated to a patronising speech about how he didn't HAVE to give them back to me and he's only doing it because I look 'distressed' and I'm really really lucky to be getting them back.

Loved the location, loved the room and the theme of mid century. We would have breakfast next door at The Swingers Diner which was sooooooo awesome. Only a coffee machine but no kettle to make a cup of tea.

Clean and convenient.

The carpet was tattered damaged holes and tears. The room had cool vintage furniture 2 tables but only 1 chair. I asked why only 1 chair could I have another I was told they were booked and couldn’t provide another chair. My husband was able to access the WiFi I was not able. I needed to go elsewhere to access my laptop

Love the location', love the lobby and Staff! The carpet in our room seemed alittle worn but the shower and bathroom was great as was the bed!
