My only negative experience was check in. It took about 15 minutes, and although staff were at the front desk, no one explained why there was a delay. The interaction wasn't particularly friendly, so it wasn't the best first impression. The room itself was comfortable, and I slept well. The only thing I didn't love was that the walls are black so it felt really dark in there, even during the day. I also noticed the blackout curtain covered the air conditioning unit, so I had to choose between keeping the room cool or keeping the curtains closed. The location is about what I'd expect for downtown Los Angeles. There were homeless people in the area, which is fairly typical for the city. I didn't necessarily unsafe, and I was able to walk to nearby coffee shops and breakfast spots without any issues. This definitely isn't a luxury hotel or a newly renovated property, but if you're looking for an affordable place to stay for a night or two, I think it's a solid option.

Room was clean and the staff was friendly.

The stay was great. Staff was great. The only problem I had was the location of the penthouse suites. They are in a separate building 2 1/2 blocks away from the main hotel. The parking garage is on the opposite side of the main hotel making that 3 blocks to walk to the suites. That is not disclosed when booking or on their website. We had to check in the main hotel and then be escorted to the other building. Dragging luggage across those 3 blocks in 90 degree weather was not ideal.

Don’t stay here unless you like your hotel with a lot of urban grittiness. I’m not a picky person. I care about a clean, quiet room with a good bed so I can sleep. This place is in a bad location. I guess that unhoused folks and grime just go with downtown LA. When we arrived, we asked the front desk staff about street parking, and were told “I wouldn’t do that here.” The paid parking is super inconvenient. Room was not soundproof—lots of street noise late into the night on a weekday. Room was poorly lit. Chipped paint everywhere. Good points—The room was okay—clean. Staff was helpful and nice. Overall a grungy vibe—I’m amazed at the positive reviews.

We walked into the apartment and the room was nice and cool which was nice after a long day outside. We thought the location was really convenient for us as we were in town for an event at the convention center. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, and we would return in the future.

the only thing i didn’t like was having cement floors and no rugs, after a long day at a music festival, coming back to walk on cement while barefoot was extremely uncomfortable

Without asking we were upgraded to a beautiful room that included a full kitchen. Only down side was no coffee maker in room, but we survived.

Stayed for 2 days and had a pleasant experience. The room was clean and big enough for the 2 of us. The parking was affordable for us compared to other options around. We liked the set up of the hotel and enjoyed chatting with the receptionist. They were super helpful with recommendations for places for us to eat in the area. Joey DTLA was a great recommendation.

it was a very nice sized broom that had ample space for two people to sleep comfortably, and the views were amazing from the top floor!

The space was nice but definitely not something we would do again.

A bit far than I expected from places but staff were really helpful and friendly.

A little confusing to get to at first, but very convenient location for the event I was participating in. UBERing back is sometimes confusing due to not knowing where to be dropped off. The hotel itself is very discrete

We enjoyed staying here. The room was cute with great lighting. The only issue we had was the internet was no good so watching tv was no fun as it kept buffering. Other than than room was comfortable and close to so many food options.
