Terrible - drunk / high people in the lobby, room facilities not working, unhelpful staff, downgraded room - too many issues to list. Avoid this hotel.

The hotel itself is beautiful, but unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing because of how crowded and noisy it was. There were events happening essentially throughout the day and into the night, with a large number of people coming in from outside the hotel. Because of this, many of the hotel amenities were extremely crowded and, in my experience, not realistically usable for guests staying at the hotel. When I say it was busy, I mean 24/7. The lobby was constantly crowded, especially late at night, with many intoxicated people. The elevators were also very busy, and there was an unpleasant smell in both the lobby and elevators during my stay. Another major issue is parking. The hotel does not offer regular self-parking, so guests are essentially pushed toward valet parking, which is very expensive. What was especially frustrating was that I was not clearly informed about other, potentially less expensive parking options nearby. I would strongly recommend asking specifically about all parking options before checking in. Also, check your valet receipts carefully at checkout and make sure you are not being overcharged. They will refund you if you catch it! Overall, if you are looking for a relaxing hotel where you can enjoy the amenities, spend time by the pool, or have a comfortable stay do not pick this one!

Loved the hotel. Views were great. Only negative- parties took over the pool area on the weekend nights. That greatly complicated using the pool in the evening.

Good location. Reception staff excellent. $75 for overnight parking is ridicules. Casa Madera hostess was sooooo rude. Restaurant manager ignored my request to move tables then later offered to comp my dessert but still charged me for it. We will never return to that restaurant.

I had called 2 days prior to my stay, not sure who I spoke to, but it was a man. I asked if there was going to be any kind of deposit since Expedia is a 3rd party booking. He said it was ONLY $200 just like that. I called so me & my partner can budget our money and know how much money to take since we knew that LA is very pricey. When we arrived, they tell me a whole other thing. They charged us $200 for EACH DAY of our stay. With that being said they basically took almost all of our spending money. We told them that we called 2 days prior & asked questions about our stay & mentioned everything that was going on but the manager was honestly rude about it. (ALWAYS ASK WHO YOU SPOKE TO, I DIDINT BECAUSE I TRUSTED ON THEIR WORD). We were super upset about this since we couldn't do much on my trip and it was also my birthday... They only gave us half of our deposit back & when we saw the bill they charged us $19 for drinks at the mini bar in the room & $2 for snacks at the mini bar. I literally just grabbed an Evian water, THATS it. As soon as I got home I called & asked what was these charges on top from everything else and TBH... it was so unnecessary for the extra charges. Worker fee, resort fee, occupancy tax and sooo much more. The manager said as long as we didn't use anything we will get the ENTIRE deposit back. Nope we got HALF back. I will NEVER stay here again. ALWAYS make your research and call for any questions!!! Don't forget to ask names.

Location and staff are amazing! Facilites and pool are also amazing Vallet services was so bad! was offered a price for a sprinter of $150 per night when we called a day prior and spoke to someone in valet, but once getting to the hotel the manager for Valet was so rude and just dismissive said its $250 per night. Wouldn't listen to what we had to say just said well thats the price want it or not then you can leave it somewhere else. Then we just accepted due to having no choice he just started demanding and speaking down to the staff which I found so degrading and isn't what the Mondrian / The Valorian is about. The workers at valet were amazing! he wasn't, took advantage of them and just degraded them infront of everyone. Something you need to address.

Cons: Only 3 towel sets when we arrived in a room with 2 beds and 4 people, room phone didn't work, no ice machines on the floors so had to call the hotel for delivery, house keepers were just ok - nice, but didn't restock fully so kept having to ask for things: towels, washcloths, coffee, cream and sugar, it's party central on the weekends. Will stay again, but do hope the easily fixable things are taken care of.

Phenomenal stay, 10/10 would recommend. Definitely will book next time I stay there. Room was clean, staff was more than accommodating.

Spacious rooms. Fabulous view Great location Wasn’t wheelchair/disabled friendly as promised Yoga retreat on one day where we couldn’t walk ( wheelchair) as all lying round bottom area to the pool.
-
Location is great. Pool area is not only for hotel guests. It gets overcrowded from people walking in during the day. My friends and I had to leave after one hour since the pool allegedly had our spot “reserved”. Previously for someone else. We complained about the fact that there was no “Reserved” sign placed. Concierge and pool staff do not follow the same argument about pool access. Something really strange and odd happens around the White Rabbit area. In conclusion, not a respectful treatment to hotel guests in order to benefit from walk-ins
