I needed a place close to the Academy Museum. What I got was a quiet room, comfortable bed, and a place to cool off from the LA heat. The staff were helpful and cordial at all times. If I ever need a place to stay near the museum again, I know where I’m staying.

Charming older historic hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Restaurants just a block away. Street parking but the hotel gives you passes for your stay. Will definitely stay again.

The room was very spacious, and the staff was nice and helpful. The hotel is also walking distance from a few restaurants with good takeout options. For the price, the overall quality and in-room amenities don't feel like a great value. The included breakfast was very average (pre-packaged food, instant coffee, etc.). The hotel being in a residential area also makes parking a bit tricky (but they do provide a parking permit to avoid tickets).

I completely understand that hotels have cancellation policies and that businesses need to protect themselves from last-minute cancellations. However, there should be some level of compassion and flexibility when a guest is dealing with an unexpected death in their immediate family. I was not cancelling because of a change of plans or inconvenience—I was dealing with a family emergency and the loss of a loved one. The way this situation was handled left a very poor impression. I would expect a reputable hotel to show at least some understanding and humanity in circumstances like these. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider ever staying at this hotel or recommending it to others.

My mother and I were very happy with our stay at the Wilshire Crest Hotel this week. Located in a convenient, quiet West Hollywood neighborhood, this hotel met our travel needs perfectly!

The furnishings were spare, but adequate. Good air conditioning

Cons: No parking, Hotel gives you a pass and you have to find parking in the neighborhood. I had to park a block away. Hotel very outdated. Cleaning was poor. The toilet had stains. Hair on bathroom floor. Lastly, you can’t lock door from inside. You can only use door swing latch.

Booked one night for the wrong date. Contacted them immediately to rebook a different date. $200 gone (or stolen depending on how you look at it).

Nothing by Expedia or the property that this is an issue when making reservations. I canceled my reservation upon arrival. Expedia needs to do a better job of vetting properties and their amenities and possible issues at these properties. Closest we were able to park was about 2 blocks away so we could even contact the property. Do not recommend the Wilshire Crest as a place to stay.

We love the location, places to eat, metro station near by, also they allowed us to have early check in .

The location is great, near Beverly Hills and a main road with a lot of restaurants, cafes, shops. The room is spacious and the bed was comfortable. The free parking passes were a nice touch (need to find parking on the street). The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathtub seemed to be clogged and filled up right away when I first tried to use it :(( Was expensive but you're paying for the location. There was no ice machine.
