Kimpton Hotel Wilshire by IHG

I had a quick stay at the Wilshire Kimpton. There late night front desk person was very nice, friendly and accommodating and the valet drivers as well. The hotel room was nice enough, updated and clean. The A/C wasn't working which was a huge bummer, and I didn't have enough time to deal with a repair. They didn't make any concessions for that, though I did let them know. That wouldn't have been my call, but I didn't ask for one. I tried to order room service twice but they never answered the phone. It's a smaller hotel in a very accessible area. All in all I would say over 50% of the staff I ran into were very friendly. I would stay there again.

It was wonderful

The location was ok, LA is so sprawling it’s hard to know where a good location is. The 6pm social was great and I met a few proper and we chatted over a glass of rose and popcorn. It was a lovely idea to spread a bit of hotel community. My one plea would be , get the second lift working. We booked a lot of Ubers and when you’re waiting for 2-3 lifts at peak times it isn’t great. We did use the stairs so fine for us but in disabled you would have a long wait. A fabulous hotel, great staff, and the rooftop area a blissful oasis in the midst of the Los Angeles melee.. I would totally recommend.

I enjoyed my stay at the Kimpton. The room was pretty clean, bathroom was gorgeous and staff were very helpful. Just wish the pool could’ve been open longer and the bathroom floor cleaned a bit better, but I overall enjoyed my stay at the:)

Fabulous coffee lounge, and infused ice water available 24/7. Front desk staff and housekeeping very friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a great location, too. Patio room is great: outdoor space is nice. Yoga mat in room a bonus. Couple of days we left our room in early afternoon, and they still sent housekeeping to make up the room. Very happy with Hotel Wilshire.

Property is very pet friendly and we appreciate that. The rooms and surrounding areas are well decorated and always clean. Staff is OK nothing special. Breakfast was OK.

High price for parking Room condition on the first night that was fixed for the next day. (Washroom leak , burnt lights and curtains not working) Extra fees that I didn’t know about.

Pleasant

The property exceeded our expectations. Nice room, pleasant staff, daily happy hour, nice restaurant and rooftop pool. Only thing, non paying people were allowed access to pool and often they occupied all the lounge chairs by the pool..for hours! Seems like they should be reserved for those of us who were paying customers. It was expensive to stay there (but I think that is the norm) but the location was terrific! We walked everywhere and did not rent a car.

Location and facilities at rhe rooftop bar!! Nothing really.

A lovely hotel. We so appreciated that the valet charged our electric car. Location convenient to LACMA. Rooftop pool very nice for a drink.
