The location was perfect. The atmosphere was very clean and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable but could use more pillows. Now for the downside… The room service offerings were limited. The food at Jockey Silks was nothing but fast food. There wasn’t any breakfast offerings unless you opted to dine (and pay additional) in a restaurant. There was no complimentary coffee!! Numerous people could be overheard exclaiming the same disappointment each morning. And what really soured the otherwise perfect stay, 5/5 stars to a 3/5 stars was the exorbitant price gouge mark up in the shop: Third Floor Spirits & More - 3rd Floor, WEST Tower. It was awful and a gut punch to be taken advantage of which I do not take kindly to! The bourbons purchased (3) after some conversation with an employee, Duncan, were over $300. What was so disgusting was to learn that in the nearby liquor store and distilleries, the items sold for less than $50 a piece. On the generous side , that purchase should have cost $150, and we were billed over $300. That is an awful way to treat customers. Sadly, the shop closed that evening and wasn’t opened the following morning when we had to check out and head home. That is is a really negative feeling to contend with. I do not like being taken advantage of. I know I was taken advanced of. Poor business practices. Buyer beware. I would hope to be compensated for the overpaid mark up at Third Floor Spirits & More - 3rd Floor, WEST Tower

The two complaints I have is that with all those floors two elevators were not working and that really delays people. Also, the girl at the West Tower knew nothing about what was around the area. I think it's important that they are more knowledgeable. The concierge I talked with was not good. She did have an attitude and she was not very helpful. I just think the person in this position should smile and be interested in talking with you and offer helpful information. Everything else was great. The restaurants were really good, and the coffee shop was great as well.

Great location

Clean room. Loved the huge American flag hanging from elevators!

The hotel room itself was not bad at all, but after working 14 hours outdoors, I was very much looking forward to coming back to the hotel and taking me a swim while overlooking the Ohio river… Unfortunately, the pool was full of mosquitoes and bugs making it impossible to really enjoy swimming or floating around… Then when I called the front desk to ask them about it, I was treated with disrespect and like I did not matter… The guy actually hung the phone up on me

Would prefer if they didn't blast the AC at the registration desk. Was unnecessary and uncomfortable. Otherwise hotel was lovely.

We liked the convenience to the KFC Yum Center, but were disappointed with the cleanliness. Our whole floor and room smelled bad. Skittles on the floor in our room. No in room instructions on how to operate the atypical hvac thermostat (had to call for assistance) or television (normal operational buttons didn’t even work). No information in room about on site amenities, restaurants, etc. so we had to keep bothering the staff with basic questions. The staff were responsive and helpful, but overall quality of hotel was less than we were expecting.

Our room had several maintenance issues. The air conditioning never cooled below 75°F, even after maintenance came. The bathtub spout leaked, the shower barely drained, and the bathroom sink was missing its aerator, causing water to spray everywhere. We reported all of these issues, but only the leaking tub spout was fixed. The bed was extremely hard, and instead of a fitted sheet, there was a flat sheet that was too small for the mattress, so it came off every night. We also found hair on the bathroom floor when we arrived, which made us question the cleanliness of the room. The worst part was the customer service. On our last night, my husband called to ask if we could use a luggage cart to load our car the night before checkout. The front desk employee immediately said we weren’t allowed to keep a cart in our room. When my husband repeated the question to clarify, the employee became rude, yelled at him, and hung up. He then called back only to yell that there were no luggage carts available before hanging up again. For a hotel at this price point, we expected much better. Between the unresolved maintenance problems, uncomfortable bed, cleanliness issues, and unacceptable customer service, this was a mediocre stay at best and not one we would recommend.

Our room had a mold issue. Really bad.
-
Room was very roomy and bed was very comfortable.
-
Great hotel with lots to do nearby. Room was very clean and bed was great! Only issue was there was no cold water and the shower was a little too hot.
-
Lobby is open and beautiful. Staff was great. Hallways are wide padded carpet. Room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel was clean and we had a beautiful view of the river from our room. However, if I stay there again, I will definitely add on valet parking. Winding through that maze of a parking building with luggage was a nightmare.

We’ve been coming here for years. Generally a fantastic experience. The last two times tho over the last year there has been a significant mildew/moldy smell in the hallways and the rooms. This time particularly, the room was pretty strongly smelling. The common areas, apart from the room hallways, were fine. It’s a shame. We will likely still come down here, but this time was really a standout in a negative way.

The hotel is a favorite of ours! Always clean and rooms are beautiful! The coffee shop has the greatest staff too!

I was really expecting more from this place. The bedding was a waffle blanket with a sheet. That's it. I splurged on this room for my friends birthday. I even requested champagne be brought to the room. They brought Prosecco which was fine but the metal container that it was in with ice had a huge dent in it. Why would they even send this to a room. Very disappointed
