Hotel Genevieve part of JdV by Hyatt

This is a really beautiful hotel. The design and decor are exquisite. Our room was large, and well appointed. We really loved it. No negative comments

Amazing hotel - fun decor, loved the room layout, so comfortable with wonderful staff. In a great area of town. Did not want to leave!

We were looking forward to the rooftop bar but it was closed sun and Mon nights. We left early Wedn We peeked at it and it looks like a fun place. Location of Genevieve is great

We come to L'ville every September for Louder Than Life. This hotel was close proximity to the airport and festival, so that was a bonus. Unfortunately, since the hotel is in the city, parking was a pain. We found a garage at a hotel a street over for $ 35/day. The walk wasn't bad, but after being on your feet for 14 hours in 95 degree weather, the last thing I want to do is walk more to get to my room. There are also a lot of unhoused individuals in the area, so walkability to/fro the garage or to nearby restaurants wasn't exactly comfortable. I went to the coffee shop in the hotel every morning, and one morning, one of the local homeless came in and stole several items after being asked to leave numerous times. The hotel itself has a restaurant as well, which we didn't utilize but it seemed nice enough. The staff were all wonderful. Everyone was super polite and helpful. The hotel and rooms were clean, but the decor was absolutely not my style lol. They are going for a chic, art deco style and I do believe the rooms are different colors, but mine was hideous. Not a big deal, but what was a big deal in the rooms was the poor lighting. We had every lamp on and it still felt dark. Overall, we had a decent stay. I'd stay here again if the price were right, but if the price is equal to others, I'd probably stay somewhere else.

Great property close to amazing restaurants

I liked the staff. They were responsive and friendly. The management was quick to respect my concerns and find an amenable solution.

One bathroom mirror light remained burned out the entire time we were there. Did not indulge in the freeze-dried instant coffee provided in the room.

The robes were the icing on the cake!

Stayed a couple nights. Great location for bourbon tours. very friendly staff. It was a pleasure.

This hotel has a cool old school vibe. Very classic, very clean. I like the vintage vibe.

This was a fun boutique hotel that was a little quirky and has a retro-cool vibe that was much more fun than a chain hotel. Lots of great bars and restaurants and shopping easily walkable. The restaurant on the ground floor was closed, and we wished it had been open. We enjoyed quick breakfast at the cafe and loved the rooftop bar for great cocktails and atmosphere!

The front desk team was extremely helpful/knowledgeable and gave us some awesome recommendations in the area! We cannot wait to go back to Nulu and stay at hotel genevieve once again.

It was a short trip but everything was great!
