Blue Bonnet Suites Extended Stay Lubbock, Texas

The check-in gal was so cheerful and efficient, we were amazed. This is not a luxe property but this gal acted like it was her own business and she was going to make sure everything was right with our stay. The hotel use to be a Studio 6 and there was a decent kitchenette and sitting area w/ wifi-TV. The bed was comfortable and the room was dark and quiet all night. There were some banged up and older model cars in the parking lot but we felt very safe and everyone seemed friendly. We had a very tasty Vietnamese meal less than 5 mi away. This hotel was a bargain. Internet was somewhat lame, connecting and then disconnecting, but I was able to accomplish what I needed to do.

This is an older property that shows its age. Wifi is very poor, and in-room technology is a bit dated. We had a non-working exhaust fan in one of our bathrooms, and staff fixed it the day we told them about it. Bathroom light switches are outside of the bathroom, so using the bathroom in the middle of the night shines light on others who are trying to sleep.

The room had an awful cigarette smell even when the room was non smoking, but overall clean. The guy at the office was very nice. He was nice enough to let us check in early without extra fees, but the neighbors were very disrespectful staying out in the parking lot very late making noise, kids crying and yelling all night, didn't rest at all. A plus was that it's pet friendly but even my dogs were anxious with all the wall banging.

Do bring a travel kit and slippers. Also it's better to drive places here, if not Lyft is your best choice. There is a market place 15 min walking distance away from here but you will need to cross highways to get there if you do walk. Asking for pots, bowls, cutting board, and knife at the check in in the front.

Several roaches in the kitchen restroom curtains there was about a 2-in gap between the floor and the door and homelessness around the area what it recommend it staff was kind but didn't even want to mention the roaches terrible terrible experience God help that place
