Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lubbock Southwest, TX

We had a horrible start to our visit to Lubbock . The visit to the country inn and suites was last minute after we left our first hotel right after check in. We could not stay there. When we arrived at the country inn and suites, the staff was friendly and helpful, our first room had a few issues, but the staff was immediate to respond and took care of us. We were placed in a new room and the rest of our stay was very good. Their maintenance team was very quick and friendly as well. 10 outta 10!

Friendly front office personnel and nice lobby and breakfast area Both visit's 8/12 & 8/26 we were in handicap rooms as needed but both showers were full of mold! Couldn't use them and we try to stay at this hotel 2 or more X's per year on our way to and from Colorado from lower Texas.

Very nice That it was so expensive because of texas tech moving in‍♀️ we shouldnt have to all pay the price for that!

I did not like one damn thing about this nightmare of a so called HOTEL Not clean, Tiles were cracked and I cut my foot. The bed was at an incline, so all the blood rushed to our heads. I checked out 1 night early

The front desk person was friendly My shower and room were dirty. I took pictures of it. I couldn’t use the shower because it was dirty. I had to wait till I got back home to shiwer

Nothing The staff was rude being cussed out by housekeepers when asking for a towel, the rooms are absolutely disgusting. The entire property has been neglected and to top it off, the lights in the parking lot didn’t work. I asked to be called by the general manager to discuss my stay and haven’t heard anything

Pool and Gym was so gross and unclean. The pool area smelled really bad.

The hotel room was full of hairs, stained every where. It seemed to me that they never washed bedsheets. Using the same bedsheets for others guests which is discussing. Smells terrible. We did not stay that night. Since we complained at the front desk we decided to get our refund. They said we have do through hotel.come since we booked from their side. We did not get any refund. Very disappointed with this hotel. We do not recommend anyone at this hotel. When we ask for refund, they said this hotel has strict rules. We paid for one night for nothing. We never seen this kind of dirty and disgusting. I hope they can change soon their management how to ran business properly without disappointing their customers.

Indoor pool The room was extremely dirty and smelly! Carpet all over the hotel wear full of stains. The indoor pool was nice, but the downside was no pool towels, and the ones they had were tiny and thing and very old. The price was high to have gotten such a dirty hotel

I’m not one to normally do this, but this hotel and the experience was horrible. I asked for my room to be clean for two days, it never got done. It was dang near impossible to get clean towels for a shower. I had to go buy my kids pool towels cause there was none available! The day of check out (today) we were asking for towels to shower and the cleaning lady started cussing at us, then walked out on her cleaning a room. Management was absolutely rude when we asked about a pair of $200 shoes that we accidentally left behind and just wanted to come back and get them. Sadly the front desk lady informed us that the manager never wanted to look and help. This could be an amazing hotel, they have a lot of fixing to do. I’ve never experienced anything like this!

The room was clean and comfortable, though the AC was off when we arrived. Once turned on, it took about 30 minutes to start cooling, which made us think it might be broken. A staff member explained that it takes a while to start, which was reassuring. Entering through the front door, the rug covering the tile floor appeared quite dirty. The side entrance floor seemed like it hadn’t been swept or mopped recently, perhaps only that morning, and the hallway floors showed signs of wear and could have used a cleaning. However, once in the room and with the AC running, the space was clean, functional, and served its purpose. The breakfast met expectations. We might or might not stay here again, depending on other options.

Well the for one the AC doesn't work though out the motel as well as in the room. Room had a weird smell with what looked like mold on the AC vent in the room. Curtins in the room had what looked like cheese all over them.

Exceptional

After we checked in and went to the room, we checked the room. (We always do this because we travel a lot!) the carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. The night stand had hair on it. Under the tv stand there was a few pieces of trash. Over all it looked like it hadn’t been wiped or cleaned. When we brought to the attention of the staff, they were not very helpful. They did let us know they were all booked out so we couldn’t move. We just asked if someone could go in and clean while we were out of the room. They said they would try and see if someone could go and clean it. Upon returning, someone did in fact vacuum and wiped down most areas. Not all the trash was picked up but it was way better than we started off with. Unfortunately we will not be staying here again.

This place was filthy. Stains were on the pillow case and towels, the floor was disgusting, something was on the toilet, something was in the sink, and we couldn’t shower because it was so gross. We do not recommend staying at this hotel.

Staff responsiveness was a major issue. I needed an ironing board, but the one in the room had no cover and the surface was just bare, rusted metal — unusable and honestly a bit unsanitary. I called the front desk for help, and while the receptionist said they’d bring me a replacement, no one ever showed up. After waiting, I gave up and improvised by ironing my clothes directly on the bed, which thankfully got the job done, but it shouldn’t have been necessary. Small issues like this point to bigger problems with staff follow-through and general upkeep. Between the state of the room and the lack of service when I actually asked for help, I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to others.
