Residence Inn by Marriott Lubbock Southwest

The only other issue we found was our bathroom in 107, would have random smells in it. I had smelled pizza during the night, my husband smelled weed at one point and then the morning of checkout we could smell cigarette smoke. I have zero clue where it was coming from since we were on the bottom floor, the only thing we could think of was maybe the emergency exit that was next to our room, that people were smoking there. Doesnt explain the pizza though!

Upon arrival, our room was not clean. The garbage cans were already full, the carpet was torn, and the room appeared poorly maintained. Housekeeping was not provided daily, which became frustrating given the condition of the room. We were also surprised to find only one roll of toilet paper in the room, and when I went to the front desk to request more, I was met with rude and dismissive service. The room had several maintenance issues. The shower curtain did not reach the tub, causing water to spill onto the bathroom floor. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep well. The complimentary breakfast was one of the weakest offerings we have experienced at a Residence Inn, with limited selection and items frequently depleted. The breakfast attendant was consistently friendly and welcoming, and Tracy at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. What concerned us most was the lack of attention to cleanliness and guest service. We watched an employee step over trash left in the hallway rather than picking it up. On multiple occasions, it felt as though guests were an inconvenience when issues were brought to staff's attention. The pool was cold and underwhelming. Overall, the stay failed to meet basic expectations for cleanliness, maintenance, comfort, and customer service. We chose this hotel because of the Marriot

This place is in some desperate need of some maintenence and cleaning. The carpet is coming up in the rooms, tiles in the bathroom are uneven. The shower curtains are too short for the shower, so a constant flood in the bathroom, meaning constant trips to the front desk for more towels...because there was 0 housekeeping in our room even with a 3 night stay. No soap/shampoo etc in our bathroom. Garbage was always in the hallways. Firepit was broken, pool was cold. 2 out of 3 days the waffle maker was not available, and on the last morning breakfast was pretty scarce at 8 am. Cleanliness is suspect. Cockroaches outside by the fireplace, and inside the lobby. Apparently there is a fee for parking (which no one mentioned at any time) Staff were scarce and not helpful. For the price of this hotel, stay elsewhere, it was horrible.

A nice quiet stay as always . The room was clean and breakfast satisfied . Easy in and out to the roads .

Very limited selection of breakfast foods. Room and hotel are showing signs of neglect. Broken tiles in bathroom, dishwasher did not work, trash by ice machine. Cleanliness has gone downhill. Deferred maintenance is evident. Not a good Bonvoy name hotel.

We visited the property before my family came to town as they are picky. I felt everything looked clean and a nice lobby. The property was easy to get to with close parking. The staff always said something cheery when we walked in. The maid service was awesome as everything looked nice after they fixed the room everyday. The room looked like new. We enjoyed the breakfast. There is nothing to even state that the could improve on.

The property is nice. Front office staff was extremely nice and helpful. My only complaint would be that the bathroom wasn’t as clean as it should have been.

The breakfast was not great. Food was cold and utensils for serving weren’t very clean. Not impressed at all. Hours were 7-10 am. We are around 8;00. Food was cold and picked over!!!

The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The TV's were not plugged in. Only one remote for both. The window on the bathroom, while nice to be able to let in light, was NOT in a good location. When the shade was open for light, people could see directly into the bathroom from outside!! Make it frosted or a higher, ransom type window.

For the second week in a row, there was an issue with my invoice/folio. Last week I was charged for internet each day of my stay. I’ve been Platinum Elite for several years internet is supposed to be complimentary. I have not received a corrected invoice. This week I was charged daily for a parking facility fee. There is no parking facility at the hotel and I didn’t see anything on the website that noted you have to pay for parking. There also wasn’t a parking facility fee on my invoice the prior week. This is fraudulent and inaccurate billing and I will never stay at this hotel again.

Also, two of the light bulbs in the room were out. But the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was very nice. The hotel is not far from the airport, and there is a restaurant within walking distance.
