Awesome stay! Will visit again.

Had an awesome one-night stay at the Overton Hotel, everything went super smooth! Room was clean, stylish, and comfy as heck, staff were so friendly 🙌. Easy five stars—can’t wait to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The bed were comfortable and the location is walking distance from a lot of things including Texas Tech. First time at the hotel I am a local that was doing a staycation. My husband works at a hotel here that I love but wanted to try something new since I suggest hotels to our pharmaceutical reps and patients that come into town. It was a Sunday night hotel appeared very empty upon check in at 630. I used a credit that I received booking through booking.com but still had to pay $100+. I was put in a room that my view was a wall and air conditioning units and the bed was partially slid off the box springs. Overall was clean. Pool had lots of bird feathers in it and hot tub didn't get hot at all. I had to ask about parking breakfast and pool hours was not informed. If I am going to pay full price of $240 / night I would stay somewhere else. Sad I used my credit here would have been better off at a Holiday Inn.

Great hotel to stay close to Texas tech!

Check in process went smoothly. Tony in the bar was great for service. It was just a big weekend with Parent's Weekend but the carpet definitely needed to be vacuumed and cleaned at some point.

Staff was friendly and lobby was decorated for parents weekend. The bar, lounge and restaurant was amazing. You need reservation if you want to eat in the actual restaurant. Easily can walk to the stadium and plenty of shops and restaurants.

Location Very old rooms from the 1990s

location was everything, and the cocktails in the bar were unique and well prepared There is literally no reason to pay extra for the "premium" room except they include floors 13-15. "Upgraded bathroom amenities, premium linens, bathrobe" simply did not exist, and we were able to directly compare our room to our friends' room on floor 8... same linens, same Chinese-made shampoo and body wash, same lack of robes. Additionally, they got rid of the lounges (which was a huge selling point on the website.) The furniture and amenities were exactly the same as the lower floors. It was a fraudulent sales pitch that got us to pay more for "premium" rooms based on the website's description. Separately, The A/C did not work in our room so we spent the trip sleeping in a 75-80F room. Yes, a first world problem, I know. Maintenance just never made it to our room. The hotel was very ok and fine, otherwise, and the location is unbeatable. Protip: walk across the street to Logie's for food/drink. Don't pay $20 for two eggs and a piece of toast.

Room seemed ok

Our room had issues with the condensation from the vents in the A/C. The floor was soaked which then leaked into my bag. Front desk was notified when we checked out.

Great hotel overall! Loved it.

The staff and the restaurant were good Very overpriced for the quality of the room.

I came into contact with another individual’s bodily fluid. Did not change room, refund money or even attempt to apologize. I did get at 3 something in the morning, after realizing the bed was wet and calling front desk, 3 sheets. Not sure what I was to do with them? So I placed over the wet area and slept on opposite end. The room was well over $300 for 1 night. I had it for 3. Paid around $1000.00 for one night of sleep in some individuals bodily fluid.

Exceptional

Location, cleanliness and quiet Just one cashier who spewed out curse words talking about her kids but the rest of the staff was amazing.

Great hotel: location near the Texas Tech football stadium/campus. Easy to drive the backroads to various restaurants. Room was quiet and clean. I was hesitant to stay here due to some of the reviews, but glad I took a leap of faith. Would stay here again. The lobby bar is great. Great view of the campus and stadium from the hotel room.

The whole setting was very upcoass, beautiful pool, art had a restaurant and a coffee bar.
