SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Lubbock Medical Center

The bar was the best thing about the stay. The bar tender was very nice. Although the older lady working at the front desk was very rude at check in and through out my stay with them. I asked and paid for a king room with a kitchenette but she rudely gave me a standard king room. I will never stay there again!

This is a no-frills hotel. The room was clean enough, but not fantastic. Loud A/C window unit. Towels and toiletries were limited in number, and room service was sparse during our 4-night stay. Breakfast was mediocre, serving the same fare each day and often running out of items at the end. Not sure if there was a shortage on plastic cups, silverware, and plates/bowls, but the staff was certainly stingy on putting them out for guests and promptly removed what was there at 9:30am sharp! The location was very convenient to TX Tech University and the hospitals. There were several restaurants within walking distance. If you don't need more than a place to lay down and a shower, this is an okay place to stay for a night. We did not care to visit the bar, but it appeared to be well-frequented by an older crowd and was not loud.

Location Sketchy, not well organized- had to call the front desk to find our room. The railing came off the wall as I was walking up the stairs.

Room was dirty night staff was not friendly.. we had hair in the bed and bathroom when we showed up and they didn’t want to change the sheets but it was a 80 dollar a night room and close to the children’s hospital only reason I stayed!

Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and well stocked. The property is dated and definitely shows signs of age and cosmetic issues, but it was a great stay for the price. It's very convenient to shopping (Dollar Tree is right next door) and restaurants. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and very hardworking. B+

Both queen beds had cigarette burns in the bedding. One of the beds had a stain on the sheet that looked like it was blood. The pool was attractive in need of paint. The location was conveniently located near Texas Tech. UBER rides were under $10.

Nothing Roaches everywhere and I want a full refund

The motel might not look that. Nice, but the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable! Also, the air conditioner worked great in the room, so those are the two most important things! The owner said they just got brand new mattresses. Would definitely stay there again.

Breakfast is basic only but it was good.

It wasn't what I expected; it was very dirty, and there were no toiletries or anything else in the room.

I understand this is an older hotel, but could use better housekeeping. Very dusty the pool was dirty, as well light fixtures and faux plants in dining , and glass doors. The lady overseeing breakfast was rude. The plastic utensils were placed incorrectly. I saw her wipe tables with same rag , the crumble on tables ended up on the floor. I chose this hotel for location and price but no excuse for the condition. Again my opinion

The breakfast and pool were amazing along with the room! The lady at the front desk was very rude and tried to double charge me even tho I had already paid for my room online. Very nasty attitude and looks she was giving. The hotel was nice but I will not be staying here again. Your front staff is very important. It gives the face to the place and that was not a good face by any means. I myself work in customer service and I can tell you that’s NOT good customer service at all. From all the sighing to eye roll to attitude.

Attendant at breakfast was watching like a hawk. Couldn't eat comfortable and she limited us. The pool was very pretty but not cleaned. The room was decent but not thoroughly cleaned. We also asked for towels and the attendant said we had to wait for our rooms to be cleaned later that day.

Breakfast was poor. Not much of a selection. More selections.

nice and cozy large rooms, comfortable beds Big TVs . staff is nice and friendly very helpful.

You get what you pay for. Watch out for the woman who works the desk. Simply asked for towels for my room because room service took them all and didn’t replace them. She threw a fit.
