Executive Inn & Suites Lufkin US 59

Its definitely an older hotel in need of serious renovations. The photos through Expedia are not accurate. The gentleman at the counter was friendly but stated that he didn't see my reservation and there had been problems with Expedia and the hotel connection. He did honor the Expedia price. As my stay was just for 1 night - 2 queen beds smoking. He offered a first floor room (no smoking). I asked if it was smoking he said no but because just 1 night it was okay. The TV was not plugged in (no biggie). Mold on ceiling in bathroom (seemed to be from 2nd floor room leak). Felt every spring of mattress and pillows were flat (even folded maybe 3"). I didn't see any bugs (I definitely checked). No coffee! Not even in the Lobby.

The room was good and cool for us and they allowed late checkin, but no amenities, not even a bar of soap. Filthy room.

The room was NASTY, smells and full of roaches, I wasn’t in the room for 3 mins and I had to go to another HOTEL i refuse to stay there. The owner did go verify the room

The water in the shower came out brown. The images on hotels.com are the equivalent of a catfish situation. The woman working the front desk was incredibly kind, I’m sorry for the bad review because of her but the property was absolutely the opposite of what’s shown.

Not being told about the rooms being conjoined together. The neighbors were rude for no reason. One of them even calling me a rude name and kicking the a/c unit and breaking the plastic off in a small section. The staff called the police and made me leave because I was playing music in the day time when no one else was even there. I cleaned the whole room before I even felt comfortable enough to sit and relax. The signs giving directions to the ice machine and laundry area were incorrect and unhelpful. I also had to go to the office and request 2 light bulbs because they had burned out and not been replaced.

Literal roach motel. Paint chipping off door. Door Jam in bathroom had major damage. And this was both rooms.

Nasty smelling carpet, smoke smelling room, even though it’s a non-smoking room, trash cans between the office and the rooms outside were overflowing a bug getting in the bathroom shower

Room was clean but in very poor condition need ed extensive repair. Killed the largest cockroach I have seen in my life. Would not recommend this hotel if I was paid to recommend. Almost the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in in my life and I’m 71 years old.
