La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lynchburg at Liberty Univ.

Door didn’t latch, nothing but people smoking pot and the parking lot was a hanging out spot for the bowling alley. Absolutely awful!

We arrived about 30 mins. earlier than check in time and they were accommodating. Clean and stocked!

Breakfast was okay. The room was clean. The employees were friendly and super helpful. Thanks to the employees for their assistance and assigning me to another room. The rooms are spacious and were clean. The First room had an issue with the door. I could see through the door and it didn’t closed correctly. The second room assigned had the door lock not working when turned clockwise as usual. Had to turn the handle counter clockwise to be able to enter the room.

The hotel was okay. Really nice large breakfast area and good selection. However, we had a bad experinece with being assigned a room near the Flames and Liberty rooms, which our event spaces that can be rented out. We had a party across the hall until midnight with guests coming in and out from the outside of the hotel. It felt unsafe and when we reached out to the hotel staff, they asked them to quiet down but it didn't help. Thankfully they left at midnight but rooms should not be filled around these spaces with people who are not registered guests.

I liked that I was able to bring my pet for a very small fee. The price was reasonable. I didn't like the small bathroom, no microwave, hidden refrigerator, sink outside of the bathroom and cramped area overall. But it served the one night purpose that was needed. I wouldn't advise my friends or family members to try and stay no longer than 2 days.

The location was great They water went down slow in the tub. The bathroom was super small. The bed felt like it had crumbs in it.

Some guests don't follow the rules. There is no smoking in the hotel. People were smoking pot outside WITH the doors open...smh.. the person on duty did address this with the customers. Very much appreciated. The breakfast(s) they had were good and they always had the coffee containers full! The associates were always helpful and cheerful 😊 Thank you for making our stay worth our time.

Wasn't clean

We used the fitness room and that was disappointing. I travel frequently and the fitness equipment was the worst I've come across on my travels (I specifically choose hotels based on having a fitness area). There were only 3 dumbbell weight selections and an entire rack that could hold more but that was all that was available.

Would prefer sink in the bathroom

The floors and really most everything was dirty,

Room was ok. The toilet was loose from the floor and rocked when you sat on it. It was reported to the front desk and was told someone would look at it. We stayed 2 nights and when we returned from our first day out, it was still wobbly. On day 2, we found ants in the tub and the towel hook on the back of the bathroom door was falling off. The sink also had a slow drain and filled with water everytime you'd use the faucet. All were reported to the front desk. We were there for CFAW and the hotel is convenient to LU. Breakfast was average. Room temp was managable and beds were ok. I probably will not stay at this location again, unless there were no other options near campus.

I am so perplexed by the good reviews. After we checked in I went back to look questioning how we ended up staying somewhere in this condition based on reviews. The location is great proximity to Liberty U and the staff were friendly. The condition of the common areas are fine however the closer we got to our room the worse it became. The floor to our hall was visibly dirty. In our room the carpet was torn, had what appeared to be old gum in the middle of the floor, the curtains were stained brown, the chair had visible stains, and the walls were simply gross throughout including brown stains on the walls by the toilet. The corners and crevices were filthy. Our room smelled of smoke with perfume covering it. It was CFAW and Parents Weekend so our lodging options were limited so we made the best of it. Our daughter will likely attend LU and we will be in need of routine lodging but this hotel will be off our list. Save yourself and stay somewhere else.

Cleanliness. We stayed 4 nights and the room was never cleaned even though “hotel policy” was every three nights. Had to fight the evening desk clerk to get clean towels

I found it to be very nice and clean. Nice staff. I was very pleased with my choice! Was there Sept 10 to the 13 th 2026 and was very pleased.
