DoubleTree by Hilton Madison Downtown

Each visit we have there over the last several years , this hotel does minor improvements that shows they really care about your stay here and your comfort! It's always been great but I appreciate the little touches over the years, my #1 hotel in Madison to visit my daughter in college. Great central location too! - UWMADISIN MOMMA

Location was great for the Taste of Madison! Staff was friendly and let me check in early. However, room 410 smelled like someone had a dog in it before our stay. It was the only thing that ruined our trip.

The staff are exceptional the young woman at the front desk when we checked in is gonna be in management before long The slamming doors. It turned out it was maintenance going door-to-door to put screens back in. They’re heavy doors and they would just let them slam.

Breakfast was great, and the woman at the desk gave us complimentary tickets, which was extremely nice of her. Parking was convenient even though we had to pay for it. Our sink was not draining well and maintenance came and fixed it very quickly. The shower was fantastic! The hotel sits exactly where I had a student apartment 55 years ago, so that was fun! There's no vent fan in the bathroom! The loud music across the street at 2 am! That we had to pay for parking. It's a little congested around the location, but I guess that's development.

This hotel was great. Very clean and quiet. Who doesn’t love a cookie upon arrival? We liked that the front desk let us choose our room. Rooms are a little small but perfect. Parking is available but there are also garages close by that may be slightly cheaper. Would recommend for a weekend stay if you like being walkable to downtown.
