Hampton Inn & Suites Madison-West

Had a room with 2 queens bed did have a tub in it just a shower. The refrigerator was not working. Don’t come with a microwave. The toilet stop working. The amount of money l pay for this room l don’t think l will be back. The breakfast was ok and the staff was nice.

I was ill and tried to cancel after paying for extra insurance that covered cancellations only to be met with no refund and canned responses and denial of a refund. I paid extra for this assurance and got scammed.

Clean room and property.

Really nice setup for breakfast, great food and a nice relaxing dining area. I also enjoyed using the gym, it was a bit on the smaller side, but it had everything I needed to do some vacation workouts! Overall, a great home base for exploring Madison.

The location was good, considering we had a lot to do on the west side. The hotel and room were clean, and considering how expensive hotels have become, this felt like a deal No issues

Katherine, at the front desk was amazing. The bed was comfy, breakfast was good, wasn't loud The remote for the TV didn't work. The curtains on the windows don't close all the way...yes there is a pull shade, but it doesn't make the room dark enough. The coffee pot being in the bathroom is unsanitary to me

The breakfast was horrible. The reason I stay at Hampton hotels is for their breakfast. I defiantly know it is not ‘fine dining’ but I’ve never had a problem. However, their breakfast was blah at best. So much was always out and never stocked and if you asked for something you wouldn’t get it for 10 minutes. Food was cold, no flavor and then we had to wait in line while the worker cleaned instead of her moving for us. The topper though: I failed and forgot to bring Ibuprofen with, so I bit the bullet and paid the $3 for the pack of Ibuprofen in the lobby. The front desk girl was busy taking care of a customer and my husband and I were patiently wait just talking amongst each other when the worker said ‘room number and last name’ So we told her and she said ‘I will charge your room’ the next morning while checking out we were told that we were charged $31 for a $6 charge and then after we told her the story we were called LIARS; in so many words! Needless to say —> I’ll never EVER stay at this location again, I mean, the Hampton Inn in general has a sore taste in my mouth as of now, all because of Madison!

Checking in pleasant and easy. One of the 2 elevators wasn’t working so long waits to get to 5th floor and back. The fire/smoke alarm went off 2 times in our room during the nite. At 4:30am we asked to be moved to another room. In both rooms we had, the bottom sheet did not fit the mattress and came off the corners all night. The second room we moved to had a VERY firm mattress making it uncomfortable to sleep. While trying to go down to breakfast we could not get the one working elevator to work, & ended up using the stairs. We told the gal at the desk….she didn’t seem too concerned. Breakfast was meager, and only one of the coffee carafes had coffee in it. No yogurt or fresh fruit. This was very very disappointing as we always look to stay at Hampton Inns because we know the quality of the bedding and everything else is spot on. The bedding in this Hampton was clean, but old and needed to be replaced with new sheets, blankets and duvets. All in all, if this had been the first time we had ever stayed at a Hampton Inn, we would not consider coming back. Hopefully this was just a one time “rotten egg “ in the nest. Do better please.

I liked that the room was pretty clean and close to an exit to our vehicle. I thought the location was hidden and wasn't sure where to park and where the front entrance was located. The breakfast was ok but again hidden. The water pressure wasn't good and the shower head was to high to reach to adjust. The room could've used a small microwave.

This hotel was ok, very basic, but met our needs for what we were there for. The breakfast was good, the place is clean.

We were surprised at how warm and humid the building was, even though the air conditioning was on. We also had to set our room thermostat to 65 so it was comfortable. We are typically ones to leave it at 68, but doing that left the room feeling warm and slightly humid. There was also a slight “stale” smell of some kind of cleaning product, potentially carpet cleaner, while we stayed. I assume the scent was more noticeable because the ac wasn’t working as well which left the room feeling warmer than usual. There were also multiple small hairs stuck to the inside of the bathroom door when we first entered the room.

We only were here for 12 hrs but from the moment we checked in we were very impressed with the staff, cleanliness, and a personal touch welcoming us to our room. Highly recommend, me and my boyfriend had a king size bed which was very spacious.

Great breakfast. One elevator was out of service so longer waits.

Pool area and hot tub were great. Comfortable bed, spacious room, quiet

Staff created you right away Pool water was cold.

Food was good , staff was nice , wasn’t too over crowded, didn’t get bothered much Pool was freezing anytime we went into it , one of the elevators were broken and kept getting stuck in it

When We Arrived we were Upgraded to a King Suite by the Fantastic Front Desk Attendant, I didn't catch her Name,I'm sorry for that. She was very Corteous and even offered us complimentary water bottles. We stayed at this Hotel in 2025 and we returned because we really liked the Hotel and the Staff. The Hotel is Very clean,Breakfast was Phenomenal. Our Room was Clean and spacious, we had a good night sleep on the Comfy Bed.Great View from the 5th floor. We Highly recommend this Hampton Inn, there's plenty to do around the Madison Area. We will definitely be back to this Hotel on our next weekend getaway. Thank you for Everything!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
