DoubleTree by Hilton Manhattan, KS

This is an acquisition motel. It does not meet the Hilton hotel brand standard. It needs a complete paint job on the outside of the building. The room was remodeled but dark. It might be a good place to stay with a bunch of kids or students. They really couldn't damage anything based on the current condition. The back of the hotel and entrance was neglected.

The beds were so comfortable! Best nights sleep I have had at a hotel in a long time! The rooms were clean and the sheets were so comfortable! I loved the fresh cookies and a new bottle of water each day. The front desk was helpful and I was even able to check in early.

The shampoo and conditioner bottles mounted in the shower were empty! The thermostat was it working in our room! There were homeless people hanging out at the side entrance we used to get to our room! I will not stay there again and will not recommend it to anyone!

Upon arrival they were great, and even texted immediately asking if I needed anything, and to let them know if anything comes up. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night with no follow up or explanation of what happened. When I texted asking what happened, wouldn't you know it...no reply back (still, a week later). The pool didn't work and the rooms were musty smelling. They even had window fans in the hallway for people to use (must be a common issue). Overall would not stay here again.

The front desk lady For Hilton buying this hotel they should of never reopened until full hotel had been renovated. Carpet through out hotel had been replaced some room features had been updated but rest of hotel was same old nasty 1990s. Elevator was broke down and stairwell smelled like old rat piss. Pool was down because the handicap lift was broken so they shut whole pool down, absolutely nothing was said during the booking process or even during check in. Very disappointed with Hilton and this location they acquired.

We stayed purely for the pool, as we were in town for a baseball tournament. After arrival we found out the pool was closed, which was disappointing. But made the most of it and the kids still had fun. The hotel was very short staffed and it seems very chaotic. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and we had to evacuate. We were all told we could go back in, and now an article has come out that two guests have been hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning. Something is not right and I would not recommend staying here.

Our room smelled so bad of mildew/mold and we were offered a fan but never received one. The stocking of shampoo and conditioner was not attended to-I am not sure when our room was prepared but several things were missing. We spent two nights and our towels were replaced but beds weren’t made and again nothing replaced in the showers that was out. Staff was pleasant and we understand it’s not their fault. Swimming pool was down the whole time we were there. They do charge $4 for the coffee in the lobby-ridiculous as it was just a kuerig machine.

Overall the staff was very accommodating as we had our dog with us as we had appt at Kstate veterinary

This is old hotel that has many bandaids used to keep it together. Absolutely not up to standards of a Hilton property. The rooms are fine but the rest of the facility is just and old patched up facility.

The bed was comfortable. The bathroom clean and huge. The breakfast was good. We had free breakfast 2 days and had to pay 2 days. Make up your mind. The breakfast personal was very friendly so were the room attendants.

Everything was excellent, and the staff at the front was very sweet and gave us a warm cookie when we checked in. The only complaint was not having a free breakfast.

The place was old and big and getting to and from the rooms was quite confusing. The pool was good. There was a huge empty space in the middle of the hotel which made the place feel unwelcoming. Rooms were big and beds were comfortable.

Easiest check in ever. Free cookies. Great room. Clean and comfortable beds.

The room was nice and clean.

Hot, hunid. AC that can't drop the temp below 74. Shirts come out of the closet damp. 3 nights stayed and never received housekeeping, other than the day I specifically asked the desk clerk to have them come replace the towels on the floor used to mop up the water due to the shower door gaps. Just terrible. Tried it again, hoping the Doubletree brand would insist on improvements, but clearly that is not in their plans.
