Baymont by Wyndham Marshalltown

There was a great breakfast, big screen to keep up on news, had the corrupt news network on though(CNN). Well located Motel with a variety of eating and shopping businesses minutes away We will stop in next year for another stay.

This was good kept and friendly hotel. Little maintenance needed around the property but other than that so nice

Good location but far from restaurants The hotel is showing wear and needs updating. Bathroom floor not very clean. Front desk person was very hard to understand.

The room was fairly clean and comfortable. We were charged $177.00 more for the weekend we stayed than what the charge would have been one week later. There was a shortage of rooms in the area but this was exorbitant. We had to check in virtually - very impersonal and unwelcoming. There was an unpleasant odor in the room. Housekeeping sprayed Lysol but odor was still underlying. There was a dirty pillow in the room. The desk was wobbly. We came for breakfast at 8:40. There was no sausage, three pieces of bacon and one omelet. The breakfast area was messy. There was no one available to speak to about either issue. All in all, it was a disappointing stay. For the quality price we paid, we expected a quality product.

Room was dusty and had several repairs structurally needed very old building. Maid service was great. Old and dirty lamps. For the price it was ok.

The hotel smelled of Cigarette Smoke, Weed and musty. The sheets were stained and full of what appeared to be fur!

It was very noisy with doors slamming, kids yelling, music playing right outside my room. I've had better stays in the past. The fan in the bathroom didn't work so after a shower the room was very warm.

Our room smelled incredibly musty and like mildew. Everything felt damp and a swimsuit worn on Friday and hung up was still damp on Sunday. We have always been able to have family come swim with us (over 8 stays in 4 years) but now they charge $200!

Breakfast from 6 to10 a.m. but I went at 8:30, there was no eggs, no bacon, one sausage, so breakfast rolls, and not much in the way of restocking. Front desk was very helpful in printing out my boarding passes.

We were looking forward to the hot tub that was featured as an amenity at this facility. It had been removed.

Our first room smelled like mold and mildew and was filthy. There was a red substance on the drawers and the walls. The bedding had stains and felt damp. I never complain, but did complain to the front desk. At first , he argued with me and told me his cleaning staff had been there for fifteen years. I explained , i'm allergic to molds and smelled it immediately , and that he could come see for himself. He did and smelled it also and they switched us to the room across the hall, which was actually clean enough we could stay there. However , I did notice that the next person that came , he put in that same filthy room. Took my kids to the pool , and there was clumps of hair and debris floating around. Definitely do not recommend staying here.

The location for breakfast was fine. Breakfast itself was ok; it could have been warmer (the eggs were barely warm); the coffee was good and hot The little egg/cheese omelets were cold. I had never used a check in at a kiosk before & it was weird not having a person at the hotel. I never saw any staff person until the next morning.
