Wyndham Garden McAllen at La Plaza Mall

The room was very clean, the breakfast was very good, we would stay again if we visit McAllen again.

The receptionist needs to know how to guide the guest to the proper building. We were in building two and she gave us instructions for building one. The swimming pool needs a lot of improvements. It has a lot of broken tile all over.

Room was not ready by check in time and when they gave us the room it was dirty and poorly maintained.

Everything was as expected, friendly staff, good breakfast and clean rooms.

La Atencion fue primera

Toilet clogged and overflowed on the first night. Housekeeping didn’t make up the room on The 2nd day. No luggage cart was available for checkout. I was told I could check the halls. I did. There were none.

My stay was excelent the brekfast method was a lillte confused,because a lot of people were trying to eat at the same time

The breakfast was the best. The weight room could use a little TLC.

And the other one is compliment food the way they do it giving you vouchers I lost mine vouchers for my family and we did not get food that is very bad in their parts

Pool needs a little cleaning

The facility is old and should get more TLC. Our door was very creaky, the coffee station was not stocked, the water bottle for purchase was opened and cleaning was adequate but not detailed.

Perfect location with plenty of restaurants & shopping, Very friendly staff & plenty of parking.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, we had no problem finding parking. We’ll definitely stay there again!

Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean, tiny gym with basic equipment, has a pool area that extends from an indoor to outdoor pool area.

Overall, this was a decent hotel. The rooms were fairly clean and although a little bit rough around the edges, they were fine. The front desk staff was pleasant and the location near the airport was great.

2 bedroom suite had a large sitting area and table. Included a nice wet bar station. Friends staying nearby didn’t have a pool or have one nearly as clean as this place. The indoor outdoor pool area is the reason I booked. It’s convenient for people with younger children who need some shade during the Texas summer days. There’s a total of 3 pool areas at this location. Pretty cool, hot tubs not heated enough but worked in my kids favor! Breakfast is very good. They have chile quilles, egg and ham, potatoe and egg, waffles, pancakes, biscuits with gravy, no bacon or ham alone but who cares. Cereal, fruit, juice, coffee.. oatmeal. Staff friendly and helpful. They didn’t complain when we needed 5 towels every day lol sometimes more! Mall is across the street. If you come for tournaments like a Pony tournament with children, you should stay here for an ext weekend.

Breakfast too crowded. Room key access card failded. Fifteen minutes after getting into my room, another guest with the same room assignment tried to get in. He went to the Front Desk to fix his issue. My room was already paid in full by that time. At 3:30am, someone tried to get into my room. My wife and I were already sleeping. Door key and latch were on.
