Holiday Inn Express Memphis Medical Center Midtown by IHG

This hotel looked like it was hit by a bomb on the third floor. The room itself was clean the bathroom is very old. The staff was very nice. I was in shocked when I excited the elevator all the wall paper was hanging off the walls in the hallway. The carpet was filthy. I was scheduled to be a presentation the very next day therefore there was no time to check into another hotel as I got in late. I went back downstairs and the staff informed me I am sorry I should have told you there was water damage and they are redoing the floor upstairs. I went to iron my clothes the next morning and the iron did not work. The chef at the buffett was extermly nice and did a great job with the breakfast. The staff did apologize for not telling me in advance what to expect when I got off the elevator - yes, they should close down the floor. Again, the staff was nice.

Convenient to downtown

The staff was very friendly and kind. The hotel was not well maintained and was dirty. Our room had stains on the rug, a broken refrigerator, a dirty bathroom vent and tub, and dented/damaged furniture. We changed our stay from 2 nights to 1 due to the conditions.

The service is better than a regular hotel stay. The price is pretty high but just about worth it.

Staff friendly and helpful. I watched a staff member write out a plan for a family of local sites to walk too. The breakfast is 10/10.

This property recently had a lot of water damage. The wallpaper was removed in the halls. Holes drilled along the bottom of the walls. There was no a/c in the halls. The smell was overwhelming. So much so, we checked out and did not spend the night.

The room was nice, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff was great. But the hallways are in rough shape and the water pressure in the shower wasn’t very good. The carpet in the room also didn’t feel clean.

Their bathup was clogged with hair and it was not draining

Everyone at this hotel is so nice.they even offered water for the road parking is good. Bed is comfortable. This hotel has one of the best staff members I have ever been to I give them 10 stars.

Always make a reservation in advance.

Beds are comfortable and I appreciate the dove products and it was a very large room so overall it works

Would avoid staying here if possible. Property is in poor condition with water damage issues, high indoor humidity (black spots on ceiling in room) and overall poor cleanliness. People working there were kind and helpful though.

From the time we checked in with AWESOME front desk staff, until the time we checked out, everything was above and beyond. We had a great stay.
