Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Merrillville, IN

Room was clean and comfortable. Location was great for many shopping and dining options. Provided four towels and four wash cloths for a King room and one night stay.

Unfortunately from the moment we entered I could tell this hotel had not been cleaned for quite some time. All the carpets in the entry way, hallway, and stairs had not been vacuumed. Our room was also disgusting. We wore shoes at all times. When we pulled back the covers there were hairs in the sheets so we needed to have the bed remade with clean ones. I do not recommend staying here and I will never stay here again.

The room was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly. Parking was good and spacious. Breakfast was good and had variety. The pool water was cloudy. It looked weird we did not want to even get in.

Staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. There were minor issues like no plug in the tub and the lock needed repair. But all in all it was a pleasant stay. The location is terrific. Shopping mall across the way and plenty of places to eat. Breakfast was ok. I'd stay here again

The negatives: A lot of little things in the room that did not work or were broken. The bathroom door not closing fully unless you picked it up and lodged it in with the same for the door between the bedroom and suite area. One side of the power inlet did not work in the bedroom. The light in the bathroom would sometimes not work when you hit the light. Small things bit enough where I can't just give the full five stars but would book again.

I do not recommend this hotel. Hallways were filthy. The room was big but not well maintained. Floors were dirty, light in bathroom barely worked, faucet was broken, bed was uncomfortable, etc. Overall, this place does not receive the care that it deserves.

Clean, good value, decent beds, friendly staff

The staff were amazing. They were very friendly and whenever I needed something they were quick to respond. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was great. Overall, Great area, amazing staff, great hotel.

This was an amazing hotel to spend time in while away from home. The staff was absolutely amazing and my usually very shy grammyson loved the staff so much that they were calling him their little friend!! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The parking lot provided plenty of space for several guest. I will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I travel to this area!!!

Friendly staff however the hotel is dated and ammenitiea-from conditioner to coffee were not restocked. Breakfast offerings were mediocre. The location is great but there are a ton of hotels to choose from. I will be trying a different one the next time I am in town.

Hotel was well below cleanliness standards upon arrival, but we were tired and couldn’t find any other rooms available in the area. Thought we would give it a try. Don’t believe that the hallway carpet has ever been cleaned, with many stains. Got to our assigned room and went inside. Lights were on, and noticed grocery bags on the chair and counter. Taking a few steps further in I saw an open suitcase! Dang, someone was already in the room! We left immediately, without seeing anybody. Returned to the front desk to check out, get refunded, and leave. The front desk clerk then wanted to debate the situation saying the room was unoccupied! Incredible!

Very nice staff. Room was laid out well and clean. Nice bathroom towels. Maybe regrout bathrm before mold becomes a problem, Some common areas needed refreshing. Change stained hall carpets to something easy to clean like laminate. Lobby carpets really need cleaning. Breakfast was simple but fine.

The counters were dirty, there was urine on the toilet, hair on the nightstand, dirty microwaves, stained curtains, and spills all over the walls. The overall cleanliness was unacceptable and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the air conditioning units would not cool below the preset temperature, making the rooms even more unpleasant. I ended up leaving the hotel because I did not feel comfortable or confident that the rooms had been properly cleaned. I took photos of the conditions and immediately contacted Expedia with no help after buying protection. This was by far one of the most unsanitary hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

Very good hotel need just a little TLC but my stay was nice

The room was filthy. Long black dog hair everywhere. I felt dirtier after showering there. Will not recommend or revisit.

Renovations not completed, hair in the shower drain, and debris on the carpet in the hallway. The rooms looks old

It was an ok hotel. There was exceptional or outstanding.

Worst experience ever. People hanging out around the hotel & even sitting in the floors in the hallways of the hotel creating a safety issue. Upon entering lobby a terrible smell with stains on carpet. I opted not to stay. Was immediately told no refund I did not check in or stay at the property..

Everything was clean. Comfortable bed, decent bathroom. Coffee was good. Breakfast was basic and minimal. We skipped it.
