Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Merrillville, IN

It was a great stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable. This was my daughter's third stay and she recommended this location to friends and family in town. Super clean! Super friendly!

Unpleasant smell in the room. Property is dated and a bit beat up. Definitely not what I was expecting. Front desk staff was lovely. Guessing general neglect.

The elevator was not working. I was told that I couldn't turn the heat up in my room even though I was cold. Overall experience was not pleasant and I ended up leaving before the night was over.

Old and updated, definitely the worst condition Country Inn & Suites we’ve stayed in. The kids asked to drive home instead of sleeping there.

Nothing Staff, food and rooms

Budget friendly hotel for those with pets and good location to access to the interstate. The front desk people were also helpful. However, the room seemed even smaller than usual and the breakfast was lacking. The food choices were minimal and not very warm. There was small pieces of trash around the property (assuming mostly from the highway), but a significant amount in the back grass area. The dumpster was full and trash was being left outside of the dumpster fence. The trash can outside the back door was also full. I also think the landscaping needed to be weeded. There was a cigarette smell inside the back door from those smoking and also in our room which is very unpleasant to a non-smoker. I believe they just need to invest more in grounds help, breakfast service, and make a designated smoking area away from any entrance.

Not worth what I paid. Below average..Air did not work not well maintained. I will never stay again.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was enough parking in the parking lot. The breakfast was good. The room was clean but, the room smelled like black and milds. The bathroom ceiling was pilling over the shower. But other than that. Our stay was great.

Staff is always nice, parking can be a little difficult depending on arrival time so early is best. The location is kinda tucked away but I appreciate the peace and quietness

Cheaper on other apps

Hall ways were not maintained carpet was in desperate need of vacuuming and should be replaced. Seat in shower was broken, sink faucet didn’t want to stay on, floor in our room was dirty. Side entrance door was broken couldn’t get in from outside.only ice machine was on 1st floor .

Thought check out was pleasant another gentleman was kind pleasant and curious fast and efficient.

In the hallway the place kind of dirty

Rooms weren't ready on time. Had to wait 45ish minutes. Person at the desk had to go give a "hurry up" to staff. AND they were sold out. Man across the hall had 2 little dogs. If I didn't see them going out, I wouldn't have known they were there. Nice-- towels were thick. Heat/AC was loud. Plank flooring in the room had several gaps. Seems there could have been better use of the large, vacant floor space in the room. A comfortable chair maybe. Not the best lighting in the room. Breakfast was adequate. No hot chocolate. I don't drink coffee or tea.
