Kenmore Village Hotel, South Beach

The elevator wasn’t working in the last building so we had to carry our suitcases up a flight of stairs. The room size was decent, the bathroom was quite small especially the toilet area. Also there was a damp smell in the bathroom (could be a Miami thing). Also there were no rugs in the rooms and so it didn’t feel as cozy. The pool area could be better maintained, the cabanas look like they haven’t been cleaned in a while. The pool itself was ok too (quite small) but then again for the price you pay it’s what it is. They had breakfast in the restaurant which was served ala carte, it was nothing special and I feel they could do better. We couldn’t get both coffee and juice and they saved 3 eggs and a slice of dry toast. I don’t think it would be a bad thing if they did a buffet style breakfast with more options but then again most hotels in America don’t even try when it comes to breakfast options. Overall if you just want somewhere decent to stay for a good price I’d say go ahead.

Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. The hotel’s restaurant was playing extremely loud music that was clearly audible from my room and made it difficult to sleep. The hotel states that quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM, yet the music continued well past midnight. I had already contacted reception about the excessive noise and was ignored for several hours. At approximately 11:40 PM, I went to the reception desk in person to address the issue. Instead of receiving reasonable assistance, I was treated rudely by both the receptionist and the restaurant staff. Even more concerning, the restaurant manager actually questioned why I had come to Miami Beach and stayed at this hotel if I wanted to be somewhere without music after 10:00 PM. I find this response completely unacceptable. A guest should not be insulted or made to feel unwelcome simply for asking the hotel to respect its own stated quiet hours. There is nothing unreasonable about expecting to be able to sleep after 10:00 PM, particularly when the hotel itself has established that as its quiet time. The issue was not that the hotel had music. The issue was the excessive volume, the fact that it continued past midnight despite the stated quiet hours, the fact that my complaints were ignored for hours, and the extremely disrespectful way I was treated when I finally went to reception in person.

The room did not have a chair or desk and the table was not useable. The pool and outdoor area were nice and had a good vibe to it. The staff was very friendly.

The elevator in tower 1 is broken, breakfast is not varied, and the hallway carpets are dirty.

Everything from the panic last minute call for a room to the staff welcoming my daughter and I at 2am and we were so thankful and the Hotel amazing and the staff and the pool and even holding our bags for a few hours before we left. We have told everyone back in Buffalo NY to come here and this is our new Hotel to stay in South Beach.

Only downside bar should be open fir soft drinks during the day.but overall fantastic! It's my second time in Miami and I would never go back to previous hotel I'm glad I chose Kenmore this time!

No breakfast was provided. Upon check in, staff put me in a dirty room with fingernails in the bedframe. Toilet was dirty and used upon arrival. The room had a dingy aroma throughout. I requested to be moved to an actually clean room, and was met with defensiveness by staff. The staff members acted like they were not willing to do their job, nor accommodate their guests. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My daughter & her friends stayed at this hotel for her 21st birthday. They said it was a nice, boutique hotel.
