Courtyard by Marriott Miami Downtown

It was right in the center of downtown Miami so there were plenty of places to eat and shop for last minute needs for our cruise. It was 8 minutes from Port Miami. That was helpful because Miami traffic is a beast

Room was very clean and comfortable.

Our room and the entire hallway smelled musty. It definitely was very strong and smelled like there had been some water issues that affected the area We were also disappointed that the rooftop pool was closed as that was one of the reasons we booked this hotel.

Room was not very clean. There was dust all over ice bucket and light fixtures. We ordered food at Starbucks-super pricey and the staff messed up my order.

In addition, the pull out beds are TERRIBLE! My son preferred to sleep on the couch, curled up, over the pulled out mattress.

Pros Jesame at the front desk was kind, knowledgeable, and professional - even with a lobby full of people, she kept things moving along and had control of the lobby like it was her classroom. She kept the main thing the main thing, and that was checking me in, making sure I had what was needed. Security to rooms via the elevator using your room card was a plus. This is especially important due to the location of the lobby door in proximity to the elevators. Anyone could slip in and head up to a room. Opportunities I mentioned earlier there was a lobby full of people. Some seemed to be waiting, some seemed to be trying to check in, some just had questions, and others I couldn’t quite tell why they were there. So even though Jesame had her finger on the pulse of what was happening, it was chaotic, and somewhat confusing. I don’t know if it was a process or scheduling problem, or not, but there were at least a few people in the back who may have been able to come out and help with crowd control. We had a great experience at this hotel. The service was excellent, the room was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was convenient and easy to access. Overall, everything was great, and we would definitely stay here again!

The room was not properly cleaned when we arrived. Earplugs were left behind in the room, which made it clear that the room had not been thoroughly checked and cleaned before our arrival. Overall, the cleanliness was disappointing.

Nice and modernized No where to sit and enjoy outside. Pool closed for renovations. No coffee before 630 am. No sitting or patio areas to enjoy outside

My room smelled horrible and they didn’t change my room. They literally sprayed something and called it a day. The pool is under construction from my what I was told. Room very outdated and wasn’t the cleanest.
