Hotel Ocean

We checked-in an hour after the check-in time and our room still was not ready. The rooms are not sound proof and music went way past 1 am. The cleaning staff took all of towel and didn’t replace them. It was 10 pm and we had to wait an hour for clean towels. Our room was never cleaned the entire time we were there. No coffee machine in the room. No phone or alarm clock in the room. The coffee they did offer in the entrance area was only powered crème and limited sweeteners.

Location and view Loud music till late at night should be mentioned and no hotel breakfast buffet and was not allowed extra 30min for a checkout time

We stayed in the front with a view of Oceab driver / ocean view. Bathroom was pretty big size with double vanities! Big shower and had a bathtub. Room itself was also big more than enough space for luggage. They did not have a scale that we could use for our luggage. Was very disappointed as to we have to repack our bags at the airport. We have traveled quite a bit and it’s the first time we experienced no scale. Staff barely spoke a word of English. Which in other countries all good but we were in the US so we expect to be able to speak and communicate. The front desk help staff where very relaxed did help with any issues we had (except for the scale did not even try and accommodate us).

Busy location on main strip Not as advertised; personal data privacy risk, no valet (told to find a car park), no help with bags, smelly foyer, unclean. They photocopy your passport and keep in a non secure way. When I said this was an issue and could there be a work around, I was refused and told to go elsewhere but denied a refund for two bookings. Awful service and risk to my personal data/passport.

Directly across the beach No pool no valet parking at the hotel you have to park at a public parking lot on 13 and Collins ($40) overnight parking they have valet style - hot water was Luke warm in my shower but the ac was great

Easy assessable convenient and elastically beautiful Morning shift front desk staff on 6/12 was rude and abrupt. Mgr from the day before said we could have late check out til noon. 6/12 staffer said no, and told me to let her speak and be quiet and I had 10 to vacate and not a minute longer. Because I’m in my peace mode I did not give her a piece of my mind. However, everything else was fine. Oh they have no pool. Not sure that matters but it’s worth noting.

First, they didn't have my reservation, so I had to call Expedia to consult. The water pressure was low the entire stay (one week), and when I informed the front desk receptionist, they said they knew and acted as if it was normal. The housekeeper was on her cell phone while cleaning. There was only one balcony chair and no pool or ice machine. Hotel room, does not get extremely cool inside. I believe they control. We were told to go outside and ask the restaurant next door for ice bucket fill up for our room. I will say the hotel is central to all directions if you plan to spend more time outside of your hotel. That was the best thing the hotel had going for business.

The ladies at the front were very nice and helpful. The young lady at the restaurant was also very nice and helpful. The room was freezing when we got there so we turned the air off. When we went for a walk we came back and it was still cold so we turned the heat on a little so we could take a bath. After we both had a bathe we realized the room was wet. We were scared to walk on the floor. We scared we were going to fall. We turned the air on 67 when we went to bed and by the time we woke up the floor was dry. That night we ordered food from the restaurant and my husband had to go back down stairs three times just to get what we ordered corrected.

Property was in a perfect location right across from South Beach and main destinations. The only thing I did not like about this property was the employees. It didn’t look like they knew what they were doing.
