Mayfair House Hotel & Garden

I travel to Coconut Grove often and have wanted to try the Mayfair. I'm glad that I got to check it out. But there were some issues...The first snafu was with check in. We arrived ten minutes prior to 4pm check in. Though we were told that multiple rooms were ready, but told we would have to wait until 4pm on the nose. That's fine, but it would have left a better impression to let us get into the room a few minutes earlier-especially because the waiting area is tiny. The pool is lovely, but, unfortunately, I was woken up at 4am by extended construction noise. This has never happened to me once at another CG hotel. I texted management about it and was promised that some taxes and fees would be waived for the inconvenience. That was days ago. Nothing has been refunded. My stay feels like a string of broken promises. I won't choose the Mayfair again. Lesson learned.

Very nice stay. Room was comfortable and affordable. Pool was needing a clean and the gym needs a total overhaul. Was so hot a humid I couldn’t use it and equipment was old and not maintained.

The staff has been so helpful. Our stay has been made that much better because of them. I highly recommend the Mayfair

It’s always a great stay at the Mayfair but certainly Chago at the Sip Sip bar always makes it for a great stay. He is attentions hard working

Room service is ho hum. We recieved our food in a bag inside paper boxes with plastic utensils instead of on a tray with real stuff. And the breakfast could use a bump in quality as well. If I go back, I won’t be eating there.
